Where was I fifty years ago today? I was sitting on the ground in a farm in upstate NY, snuggling with an assortment of lovely ladies, partaking of an assortment of …um… herbs, and listening to the finest music that ever was. After Woodstock, I never attended another rock concert. Having seen the best, anything else would suffer by comparison. Here is a video Diary of Day Two to give you a taste of what it was like for an hour.
Ah… the memories!
RESIST!!

How awesome that you were there! Yeah, great memories for you for sure! Great video too!
Gawd…where has the time gone?? (so quickly too)!
50 years ago, I was at the US Naval Station Training Center (W) in Bainbridge Maryland, in boot camp.
We did get to see Jim Morrison and the Doors when they visited the base, as a company, and recruits were allowed to go, on liberty. (if they had no demerits).
Great video too! thx! for sharing!
My father claims that he was at Woodstock, but he is a notorious liar. He once convinced a grade-school teacher that his mother was born in Holland.
“… but he is a notorious liar.”
That reminded me of this joke.
White House Aide 1: “Pres. Trump died yesterday, so we buried him.”
White House Aide 2: “WHAT?!? Are you sure he was dead?”
White House Aide 1: “Well, he said he wasn’t … but you know how he lies.”
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fifty years ago today – let me think. I was at the Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, North Carolina. I had just finished driving across the country, from San Diego, California, and had arrived during the July 4th holiday (I remember thet because it delayed me a day from getting a window air conditioner and putting it in,, and boy, was that one miserable night.) By the 14th I was probably settling in on the job – making sure the troops got paid accurately and on time. There were people then who were blaming the troops, but I don’t believe TC was ever one of them.
The drive, incidentally, was quite beautiful. I do remember, though, that even then, Pennsylvania’s coal country was so filled with fumes it was tough to breathe, and, in those days, no air conditioning – the windows had to stay open.
Thinking back, I was living under the Lion’s Gate Bridge in Vancouver in a travel trailer with my mother and stepfather. About 2 weeks later, I moved to Toronto to live with my father and stepmother and complete grades 12 and 13 at high school . . . big mistake. So I was too far away and too immature (my mother was very over protective) to attend Woodstock. Of course everybody it seemed knew about Woodstock. I wonder what young people today would think? Boring? Tame? Cool?
Hating to be a spoil-sport, but no, you and I were not at Woodstock 50 years ago today. The happening to top all happenings took place in August.
I was only thirteen at the time, and nowhere near America, let alone Woodstock. I heard about it, though, and already was heavily into music. A film came out, I think at it’s 25th anniversary, and I went to see it and enjoyed it tremendously, even after all that time and never having been there ‘live’.
Amazing that your were there, TC. To see all of the amazing performers in person. Wow.
Love the video.
WOW i wish!!
i was too young but was heavily into music with my mono tranny glued to my ear & stuck in Australia!!
Great to hear of Woodstock again and we always wished we would have been there!
I did check and it was Aug 15-18 1969 what great music.
Thank you TomCat
I’m sooooooooooo embarrassed. Mitch is right. In my hectic brain-fog, I misread the date and posted this a month early.
Thanks and Hump Day Hugs.
