As most people are aware, one doesn’t have to be anyone’s biological father to assume fatherly responsibility I salute all those who do, biological fathers or not (and the rest of you guys can pound sand.)
(BTW, Incels have always been around, with or without the name. there was an Incel character in yesterday’s radio opera, and it was written in the 19th century and set in the 14th.)
This “Happy Father’s Day” Tweet is both funny and very, very sad:
happy fathers day to the guy who cheated on the mother of his first three children with the mother of his fourth child and cheated on her with the mother of his fifth child and cheated on her with a porn actress who he paid to shut the fuck up about it. republican family values!
“A contraction of the phrase “involuntarily celibate,” a label self-applied by members of the online subculture of men (mostly young, white, and heterosexual) who claim to be unable to find or attract women as romantic partners and post consequent expressions of self-pity, entitlement, and misogyny, as well sometimes promoting or condoning violence toward others (especially those who are sexually active).” 😲
Good grief, i learnt something new!!!
Didn’t know my biological father. My dear grand-daddy, was the warm, gentle, loving patriarchal influence in my childhood. He passed in my arms when he was 95 & i was 26.
Happy Father’s Day to all the men out there, and to all the single mum’s who are both mother and father. Also let’s not forget all those other men who take up fathering roles (uncles, grandfathers, Big Brothers etc).
BTW, on Mother’s Day, I also salute all the men who are both father and mother. It really must be hell trying to explain menstruation to your daughter when you have not experienced it.
Aww…so sweet!
Thanks, Tom.

Which makes this photo seem all the more plausible:
