It’s a confortable day here in the CatBox. Yesterday, Maintenance fixed my A/C installation, so I an not losing cool air on hot days, and can open my window for fresh air on cool mornings. That will make it more comfortable here.

From Daily Kos: On Thursday, two oil tankers suffered explosions and damage in the Gulf of Oman. These evident results of attacks followed a series of similar damaging incidents in May. Overnight, the United States Navy released a video that reportedly shows a small Iranian vessel next to the tanker Kokuka Courageous, carrying people who appeared to be removing a device that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo identified as an unexploded mine. Pompeo stated that the analysis of U.S. experts indicated that Iran carried out the attack using mines. However, there is at least one person who disagrees with this analysis—the owner of the tanker involved. Not only does he not think that Iran was behind the attack, but he doesn’t believe his ship was damaged by a mine.
The Kokuka Courageous is operated by Japanese company Kokuka Sangyo. The owner of the ship, Yutaka Katada, says that, according to the reports that have been made by the crew of the ship, the U.S. is wrong on just about every aspect of the attack. According to the Daily Beast, Katada contradicted the report by Pompeo and said that, rather than a mine, his ship was hit by “a flying object.” Katada claims this information came from those on board the ship at the time of the incident. He also states that the damage to his tanker was located “well above the waterline,” which would most likely exclude any sort of torpedo or submerged mine.

MSNBC – Surprised F&F was brave enough to ask him what exactly he meant. I’m still not settled, but what do y’all think about Warren/Inslee?
WaPo – The headline is so idealistic as to be wrong. “Would” should be replaced with “should.” No matter how hard Democrats try to make it constitutional, for Republicans, everything is always political.
DKos – Mark Sumner is staff at Daily Kos for a reason, or more than one reason. He’s a seasoned author, and he is very good at not leaving things out. If you wanted to refer us to someone who will include all the things that everyone else is forgetting, you could not have done better. This is one to bookmark to refer to as all the shouting goes on.

I like both Warren and Inslee, but they are both Coasties. Warren should be paired with a Dem from ith heartland, IMHO.
I guess then since an Inslee-Buttigieg ticket doesn’t sound like it has a chance, Inslee will have to be Secretary of the Interior.
That is a post, where he would excel.
It’s not out of the question that he might be able to accomplish more there than as either President or VP. And boy, do we need him – somewhere where he can accomplish stuff.

DK: I would think that Mr. Yutaka Katada, the owner of the tanker knows what’s going on, and to listen to his analysis and thoughts/statements re: this..rather than our warmonging politicians. imo.

Glad your A/C got taken care of, and that the weather is cooling some too.. I dreaded the three days of high heat we had here. It was like a warning of what’s coming.
