Stupid Suit

Putin’s Puppet, Resident Donald Trump, does not think his financial records should be investigated.  Why?  He does not want the hundreds of crimes and torts, above and beyond the purview of the Mueller Investigation, to be exposed for the world to see.  In a thoroughly incompetent attempt to stop it, he’s actually suing Elijah Cummings to prevent the House Oversight and Reform Committee from getting the records.

President Donald Trump on Monday filed a lawsuit against House Oversight and Reform Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings to block a subpoena of the president’s financial records from an accounting firm, escalating tensions between the White House and congressional Democrats who are investigating his business empire.

In a new court filing, Trump’s attorneys asked for an order to block Cummings’ subpoena to Mazars USA. The Democratic lawmaker is attempting to obtain eight years of the president’s financial records from Mazars, which had asked the committee for a so-called friendly subpoena so that it could comply with the request.

“We will not allow congressional presidential harassment to go unanswered,” Trump attorney Jay Sekulow said in a statement Monday.

The committee is investigating allegations from Trump’s former attorney and fixer Michael Cohen that the president at times artificially inflated and deflated his assets for his personal benefit…

Foolish Fuhrer is in for a surprised.  Rachel Maddow has a 35 minute explanation on how this issue became settled law.

In other worlds, Trump can run but he can’t hide.  Long term, the men in the white coats are coming to throw a net over him.

  1. Spot on,Rachel !!
What a fool ,dt knows nothing, and is so out of his mind. If he’s so innocent, why not let the Dems do their job?? It’s just a matter of time to getting them. Let the Law speak for itself in this case.
Personally, I’d hate to think of the wrath of Chairman Elijah Cummings, who is serving his 13th term, as he knows what he’s doing..imo

Vinyl 45…brings back memories for sure! thx!

  2. I’m inclined to believe Representative Cummings’s wrath will be very controlled indeed. Like Obama, he knows better than to be seen as an Angry Black Man, and like Obama, he has the discipline to carry that out. This will be one of those battles in which the Orange Judas will not even know his legs have been cut out from under him until he tries to walk (and it won’t be as funny as the Black Knight, either. On the other hand, maybe it will.)

(I just felt I needed to memorialize Sri Lanka.)

  3. MSNBC: So, is this the first twisting in the wind, as the legal rope grows tighter, and tighter around Drumpy’s neck?  His own money?  His own team of lawyers, just for this case?   Has this fool not already hired something like 700 teams of lawyers with his ill gotten gains, over his lifetime?  This is the guy who said he’d take no money from the GOP for his campaign, until he did?  His own money?  Along with “Koffeffe,” does he know how to spell “scared?”

  4. Sure amazes me how fast tRump jumps to file lawsuit. He really is showing us how brainless he is. He’s the one who has been doing all of the evil doings. Hate to tell him that his evilness is finally catching up to him. Hopefully it won’t be that much longer.

    • Rachel says quoted in the cover) “You can slow it down, but you can’t stop it.”  Traitor Tot is banking on, if he can slow it down enough, he CAN stop it.  If he can slow it down until 2020 and Republicans take back the House and keep the Senate, they will stop it for him.  And he has a point.  Need I say elections matter?

  5. It is beyond ironic that the first “ruling” of the courts on the right of Congress to subpoena as they see fit, was a case in which it was obvious that Congress was harassing a group of GIs. But however low-down the motivation to subpoena was, the courts made it clear they couldn’t intervene, And now these overpaid Drumpf lawyers come up with harassment in their suit against the Mazars subpoena. Do they think it makes a difference to the courts that it is the president who feels harassed, because he feels he’s above the law? Or do these lawyers think the courts will rule differently because they filed suit against a person, i.e. Elijah Cummings and not the House Oversight and Reform Committee which he represents as chairman?

I hope these so called lawyers pluck Drumpf bald like a chicken (Dutch proverb) and then take their money and run, leaving him to face the barrage of ridicule he deserves.

  6. Thanks, Hugs, and Amen to all. 03
