SNL – TC, you read the New Yorker, so you probably saw the article this week: “Joe Biden and the Perils of Good Intentions.” Even without reading it, I think they are on to something. Good intentions, they say, are what pave the road to hell.
Cartoon – There have been more since … but the Republican attitude has stayed the same.

You just reminded me that I need to go through a 128 page booklet to finalize my taxes in the Netherlands so I can switch over to Australia. I think my feelings to doing taxes are very similar to yours. 🤬
SNL: They portrayed Biden just fine, I think. For a man who wants to link to people on a personal level, he seems quite insensitive to how the person on the other side perceives it.
It took a MUCH longer slog than I had anticipated, but I got my Mom’s, the Estate’s and my income tax done this weekend.
I head up to Illinois mid-week to meet w/ her accountant to do all three. (Last year the accountant I’ve used charged me $775.00! And mine are strictly vanilla! My Mom got charged $225, so even w/ travel I think it will be cheaper for me.)
Bottom-line: No “Friday Fun” this week, as I’ll be bringing my aunt back on Friday for a family visit. (Someone else will take her back to Illinois later on.)
Bring her in here for some fun on Friday,

My aunt is an avid Fox news watcher. She had a “Stop Hillary NOW” bumper sticker when she was running against Obama in the primaries – and kept it on.
We don’t discuss politics.
My sincere sympathies.
SNL: Really was done well. Joe is someone who has always been one on one with people. Too bad that this type of stuff has to come out now, when he was thinking about having a good run against tRump. We know damn well that tRump is going to keep dragging Biden through the mud. Not that the bas*ard tRump has any right to even speak about this issue with all of the crap he has created with his past.
