It’s another busy day, here in the CatBox, as I’m preparing my back passage for interface with Infernal Revenue Service. I HATE doing taxes. In addition, Monday is my semi-annual eye torture day of testing to make sure there has been no recurrence in my eye cancer. Therefore please expect only a Personal Update both Sunday and Monday, with no links messages on Care2.
Jig Zone Puzzle:
Today’s took me 3:13 (average 4:54). To do it, click here. How did you do?
Short Takes:
From YouTube (MSNBC Channel): Connecticut Attorney General Suing Trump: He’s Abusing His Power
Kudos to CT. Build a wall around the Republican Reich! RESIST!!
From YouTube (NBC News Channel): Joe Biden Jokes About Accusations Of Inappropriate Behavior
Joe is so infamous for gaffes, he seems clueless. Although I’m convinced he intended no insult, some women must feel belittled by his joking about the issue. I think I said the following four years ago; what disqualifies Joe is the foot embedded in his mouth. RESIST!!
From Raw Story: The judge wrote that the “unreasonableness of Defendants’ addition of a citizenship question to the Census is underscored by the lack of any genuine need for the citizenship question.”
A federal judge in Maryland ruled Friday against the government’s addition of a citizenship question to the 2020 Census, The Washington Post reported Friday.
Judge George J. Hazel found that in deciding last year to add the question, the government violated administrative law, according to The Post. The ruling will probably be appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court, as is expected with two similar cases.
Kudos to the honest Judge Hazel, an Obama appointee. RESIST!!

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
4:48 I’m not yet warm enough to appreciate it.
MSNBC – Kudos to all the states participating in this lawsuit. Thank God some people in government are still sane!
Joe – Yes, he did lose me with this. Not the joke about the hug, but the follow-up of “Who knows any more.” Tone-deaf is the only way to describe that. Even assuming he were to get elected, I guarantee the foot-in-the-mouth would lose 2024 by a landslide, and we can’t afford that.
RS – This is good. Unfortunately, it ain’t over until it’s over.
Cartoon – They need all that land for fracking and strip mining. That’s what they mean by “full.” Gag.
MSNBC: Thank God. Finally! Great news for the states standing up against this. Most Texans who live along the border, with losing private land too, don’t want it built either.
YT: He tried, he really did. But…he’s lost steam in what he is saying. I like Joe, but….not today, or tomorrow either.
RS: Yay! to Judge George J. Hazel !!! for his ruling in this case.
Cartoon: Sad, sad, sad.
Yeah, tax preparation is the worst. I compare the same feeling as going to the dentist. Both painful (emotionally). Hope you have a good rest of your day, take care, and Thanks, Tom.

Trump: “Our Country Is Full”
Our Country to Trump: “You’re Full …” And We All Know OF WHAT!
There is so much we can bring against tRump, we almost don’t need the Mueller Report. That would be just another cherry on our banana split. I hope that Cheat-oh has pissed off enough people, and the Democrats get their heads out of their rear ends, so we can have a great candidate who will kick Mango Monster’s orange arse out of the White House next November.
Nice going, Biden. You can kiss any chance of being POTUS sayonara.
MSNBC: Bravo to all the involved AG’s!!!!!!! Drumph is, indeed, nothing but a posturer!
Y/TNBC: Drumph has employed soooo many electricians, but to how many of them has he paid the contracted price? It does seem that Biden is his own worst enemy.
RS: Just the standard GOPIGGIE maneuver, gone nation wide! The SCOTUS ruling will be much anticipated.
‘Toon: The country has a POTUS who is full…of it!
3:28 Too touristy and posh for me.
MSNBC Kudos to those 20 states whose Attorney Generals have now joined in fighting Drumpf’s unconstitutional ‘state of emergency’ to prevent him from grabbing any more of these states’ money. I hope they get it through the court soon, because Drumpf is getting dangerously pathetic, claiming some border fence, put there in the nineties and planned for upgrade by Obama, as the start of him building a two-mile part of his beloved wall, plaque and all. You’d think that for a man who’s been scamming his whole life he’d be a lot better at it, wouldn’t you? His incompetence is beyond belief.
NBCNC: I was on the fence on Joe Biden, because his overstepping boundaries, i.e. body space, was neither intentional, nor was it sexual and sometimes expressed by women with hindsight somewhat coloured in by the #metoo era. That wouldn’t necessary disqualify him from a presidency, not if he had learned from it and stayed out of people’s personal space. Biden making light of it, however, by intentionally hugging people and then joking about it, doesn’t come across as a man who’s learned much. Nor does a president who’d laugh away his mistakes come across as the leader America need at this time.
RS: Excellent ruling. I’m starting to wonder if there are any important decisions this government has taken left that haven’t been taken to court and were ruled against. Soon SCOTUS will be swamped with Drumpf failures on which they will be asked to put their definitive stamp on it. I’m sure they can’t all go Drumpf’s way.
Good luck with your taxes, TomCat
MSNBC – Hallelujah…all these states are finally starting to cone together with this lawsuit. It’s about time. The more the merrier.
YT: Really feel for Joe. Too bad that this is happening to him. Maybe it’s a blessing on the other hand….so he won’t have to face tRump’s verbal ugliness when the next race starts.
RS:Bravo Judge George J. Hazel for his ruling.
Cartoon: tRump’s full of hot air. His new saying is really stupid.
Good luck with your taxes.
Thanks for bringing that up. Maybe it shouldn’t matter, but I think we do a disservice to a candidate when we fail to consider the effect of Republican ugliness, both on the candidate and on the election results. The 2020 Presidential (and, sadly, it’s getting to be every election) is too important to lose preventably.
Thank you TomCat. I hope all goes well with your taxes and eye appointment.
Puzzle — 4:41 Without looking at the description, I thought it was the south of France. Then the description: the port of Cannes in France. I landed in Cannes back in 1978 and absolutely loved the area known as Provence. Beautiful country, beautiful people!
MSNBC — Way to go Connecticut and the 19 other states in bringing this suit. Trump, you are not an absolute ruler and you have no constitutional right to usurp the power of Congress. What a stupid oaf!!!
NBC — I like Joe Biden, but his terminal case of “hoof in mouth” disease will kill his future political aspirations especially following The Pussy Grabber. He is nowhere close to TPG in his treatment of women, but women have had enough. Unfortunately, The Pussy Grabber is not going to let this alone. It is said that “misery likes company”.
Raw Story — “Judge George J. Hazel found that in deciding last year to add the question, the government violated administrative law…” — AMEN Judge Hazel!!! The question of citizenship adds nothing to the purposes for which the census was created in the first place. It is simply a way to identify certain types of people for bigoted and discriminatory purposes as decided by a racist and bigoted administration.
Cartoon — About the only thing the country is full of is racism and bigotry from Republicans!
Good luck with the taxes! And even better luck with the ophthalmology oncologist!!!
“La Traviata” was televised Friday evening. One of the most famous arias from it is “di Provenza il mar, il suol,” which is largely about the beauty of Provence. You are far from alone in loving it.
Take good care Tom cat!!🙂
Thanks and busy hugs.
