Here are the results of our βPreferred Democrat for 2000β Poll. Politics Plus Polls are not scientific, because those who respond are not balanced according to demographic categories. Therefore, we do not accurately reflect the makeup of the US population. Nevertheless, our polls are usually factually accurate, and more often than not, they reflect thinking of the majority of those who actually do think.

Well, there are a couple I know nothing about, but the only one I would say a definite “NO!” on at this point is Tulsi Gabbard. But I can’t really pick right now … because the impossibility I want is for one of them to become President without having to go through being a candidate, and I can’t detach myself from the actual process well enough to make a choice.

I love Elizabeth Warren! I also like Kamala Harris & Bernie Sanders. I do hate that the “election cycle” is SO Soon after the mid-terms..it just gives the conservative Mainstream Media more time to do hit jobs on all the Liberal candidates! π

For those who’ve announced so far Kamala Harris is at the top……however, I think tomorrow I will be attending Amy Klobuchar’s announcement of a run for President……having said that it is way too early to be having this discussion still in my lone opinion

I’m for Elizabeth Warren too.

I’m hopeful Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) considers a run.
She was masterful in handling Kavanaugh during his hearing.
I think a Warren or Harris/Klobuchar ticket would be fantastic!

Such clarity of expression of such good ideas!

OK, I am the someone who has not announced yet! I would like to see Bernie Sanders as POTUS (hey, I am a social democrat!) but I am equally comfortable with Elizabeth Warren. Both being senators, Democrat voters have to step up strong to replace either or both of them. A tag team???

GO Liz!!!
I voted for Liz. Of course, that opinion may change. The important things are that we support our candidates without trashing other Democratic hopefuls, and that we support our nominee.
The new poll is up. Please vote. It’s a GOP executive beauty pageant, sort of.
RESIST!!

4:53 It won't kill you, but it will make you barf.
Personal note – I am going to have to skip a week of the Furies. My vehicle's unfixable electrical issues got a whole lot worse, to the point I had to spend the week finding and buying a new-to-me one, having it gone over by my mechanic, and then addressing the issues they found. Between that and having been without one of my prescriptions most of last week and part of this week due to recalls and consequent shortages, I just don't have it in me. So I'll send out a links message as soon as Friday Fun (or whatever it turns out to be) goes up. (And, just as frosting on the cake, we are expecting 3 and 1/2 inches [almost 9 cm] of snow tomorrow, with sprinkles continuing through Sunday.)
Poll – I still know nothing about Delany or Buttigieg (well, except that the latter is a brave man to put up that name into a contest with Traitor Tot, whose "nicknaming" habits are legndary and slimy) I hear Jay Inslee announced this morning, and I will be asking for your opinion, TC, since he is sort of your neighbor. I'm liking Harris more as I learn more. She seems to have a talent for coaxing good things out of the existing justice system – while still being well aware that it needs reforming.
I presume you are having website issues, since I am – but wanted to get something up to explain my own sitation.
As Dave C, it is still too early to to lock in a permanent choice, but as JD has said, there isn't a lot of support (at least here) for Tulsi Gabbard. Cory Booker maybe a bit too corporate. Julian Castro is an unknown to me but his brother, Congressman Joaquin Castro is considering going after John Cornyn's Texas senate seat. John Delaney and Pete Buttigieg are total unknowns to me. After the poll was up, Senator Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota threw her hat into the race. Of course, Kamala Harris of California is popular too. Jay Inslee, Democratic governor of Washington state has just announced today that he is running for president. NPR's article, Promising To Tackle Climate Change, Washington Gov. Jay Inslee Joins 2020 Race (https://www.npr.org/2019/03/01/685875054/promising-to-tackle-climate-change-washington-gov-jay-inslee-joins-2020-race) outlines his big concerns. Sorry, I can't provide a link as PP is experiencing difficulties so you'll have to copy/paste to your browser.
My favourites are Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders — a tag team? Both being senators, Democrat voters have to step up strong to replace either or both of them.
I didn't vote on this poll, I haven't the time to acquaint myself with all of the many new ones and I'll sit this one out until the Democrats have thinned out the large number of candidates that have presented themselves – and are still presenting themselves – to a manageable amount of serious candidates (no offense intended to all others). Until then I can't give an informed opinion.
I found a way to sneak in through the front end, but I still have no access to the back end of the site. Bluehost is trying to fix it. Hugs!
