Since “Friday Fun” was singled out as causing a “database error” with Google and possibly jeopardizing the site, it will be taking a break to be sure everything is cleared up.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
What a shame! I’ll post a notice to Care2 ANYWAY. Those readers will be missing it too.
Incidentally, if you must have a Schadenfreude fix, George Takei found THIS.
OOPS! I’m sorry Nameless. I didn’t intend to single you out. It wasn’t Friday Fun in general, and it wasn’t anything you did. Since that article was there for well over a year before the error occurred, I surmised that it happened on the server at our HSP. Please continue, and I apologize for the misunderstanding.
Okey-dokey
Sorry to hear about the issue. Hope it gets figured out and corrected soon. Thanks Joanne
Oh what a pity!!!
Thank you, Sir.
Surely anything you write / publish couldn’t have caused a database error, Nameless. Database errors are usually caused by system glitches, software updates of the database or its interfaces, faulty backups or hacking. And, as the boss already mentioned, it turned up a year after your article was published, so it couldn’t possibly something you had invoked at the time.
The only thing we need to look out for is not to infringe on copy rights and personal data; publishing a cartoon or picture without permission has come under much closer scrutiny lately, but that is never reported as a database error. TomCat is very alert in cases like that and will delete the offending item as soon as he notices it. No harm done.
So don’t blame yourself for a system error and continue publishing Friday Fun to your heart’s content, Nameless Please ?
“to your heart’s content” – and also to our heart’s content. You do have a fan base.
I could not have explained it better.
Thank you all, for clearing this up ….
Y’all do a fantastic job, imho, keep up the GOOD WORK!!!!!
You are appreciated. Do what you need to do, one way, or another, and carry on!
