I think Daylight Savings would be barely tolerable, if I could sleep an extra hour twice a year, and never lose an hour sleep. Winking smile

  1. I remembered. I haven’t changed them all yet (and may not change every single one anyway) but I changed the one by my bed … and the computers take care of most of it.

  2. Yes, I did.
    Actually, hubs reminded me.
At least I know the day of the week. lol

    • BTW fun trivia here….Arizona doesn’t have DST, but the Navajo Reservation in that state does. At least it was that way when we lived there years ago.

I think Hawaii is another state that doesn’t observe DST.

  3. Yep, I remembered. It helps when you rely primarily on the clocks on your computer and smart phone, which reset automatically.

I HATE Daylight Savings Time! It is a crock of manure, and a pain in the arse twice a year. The spring change is associated with spikes in heart attacks and traffic accidents.

  4. Yes I did all pf the clocks yesterday afternoon. The cable boxes and computers changed during the early morning. Wish they’d get rid of it.

  5. Not a problem.
But, I do not believe that I’d previously heard of what Freya reports!  Crazy!

  6. It’s like this . . . I remembered on Friday, but by the time Saturday night rolled around, I forgot!  That is the first time in over 20 years.  The last time, I arrived at church an hour early to find nobody there, not even our pastor.  It had me thinking that it was not Sunday until listening to the car radio, I was reminded.  This year I enjoyed some extra cuddle time with my furbabes!  That was glorious!

Seasonal time changes are ridiculous.  They were supposed to provide more light for farmers to work by, but when did you see a cow, or any animal for that matter, change their schedule?  The human animal is the only one that changes.  Not only that, studies over the years have mainly shown seasonal time changes not to provide any positive effects.

Vote BLUE like your life depends

    on it because it does!!!

    • In my pseudo-Christian days many years ago, I did the same thing.  I thought the rapture had poofed all my friends, and I’d been left behind.  11

      • Back in 1995, I showed up for church but nobody was there — and it was not at a seasonal time change.  I was dumbfounded until it dawned on me that it was Saturday, not Sunday, and I was now late for work!  My shift started at 1000 hours but I did not get there until 1045 hours.  Church starts at 1000 hours.  Colour me red with embarrassment!  11

  7. Sounds like I agree with at least the majority – I LOATHE DST!

So to maybe brighten things up a bit …

And on a practical note …

  8. No Daylight Savings in this sunshine state. The Netherlands went back last week, which is probably for the last time. All EU states can come up with a plan themselves for what they’re going to do in two year’s time, and most think about staying on summer time. Which is madness for The Netherlands, which should be on Greenwich Meantime and not European time to start with, and with continued daylight saving time will be out of whack about 1 hour and 40 minutes with natural time and with most people’s biological clocks. Research has already taught us that daylight saving time could be detrimental to people’s health, being “off” continuously around nearly two hours can’t be to good for your health either.

  9. Daylight savings is an iniative on the ballet this year. To have or not to have. I voted to eliminate it.

    .

  10. California has an initiative on the ballet this year. To have or not to have daylight savings time. I voted to eliminate daylight savings time.

  11. Thanks all.  Hugs!  I remembered. 26
