When Twitler was elected, I feared it would take years to undo the damage he would wrought.

Now less than two years after having been placed (not really “elected” by the people) in office, I fear it would take at least a decade to undo the damage he has already wrought.

If Kava-NAH is confirmed, I fear it will take at least a generation to undo the damage the two of them would wrought.

So we would do well to review some of the highlights – and lowlights – from yesterday’s historic hearing.

First, I am in utter awe of the unfathomable bravery Dr. Christine Blasey Ford displayed in her eloquent, compelling and moving testimony.  The nation is in debt to her for her boundless courage in facing the despicable republican sociopaths on that committee.

It’s doubtless that her testimony will have a greater impact among women than among men.  I couldn’t agree more with the last sentence in this Tweet urging women to vote: “We don’t have seats at the table, so we’re clearly on the menu.”

And the anguish expressed in this Tweet posted by The Volatile Mermaid:

I particularly enjoyed her own first addendum that she immediately added:

“Keeping in mind that both men have the white of way.”

Moving now to Kava-NAH, I was shocked at the anger and rage he displayed – especially when compared to the cool demeanor of Sec. Clinton during her Benghazi hearing … for over ELEVEN hours …

As well as his ”frat-boy privilege” he still clearly holds in his displays of utter contempt he leveled at Democrats, as demonstrated in this brief video exchange with Sen. Durbin (D-IL) asking Kava-NAH if he’d support an FBI investigation:

His demeanor during his testimony was anything but what an impartial judge should possess, which raises a couple of questions:

And directly related to that is what Rep. Ted Lieu fears:

So to summarize:

Certainly for me, the “Take-Home” from yesterday was …

And …

  1. Cross posted to Care2 HERE.

  2. So far, i’m happy that Senator Flake has pushed forward with an FBI investigation.

  3. Absolutely stunning — Kavanope’s deplorable deportment!  Poisonous snakes show less venom.  His parents must be very proud!

Somebody made a comment to me earlier today that Kavanope is under attack and very stressed, to which my reply was “And so was Dr Ford who kept her composure.  So what is your point?”.  I got no reply.

And as to Ford’s father’s refusal to publicly support his daughter because his country club might rescind his membership, too bad we are stuck with our relatives.  However we can chose our friends and spouses.  What a lowlife her father is!

Poor little rich frat boy . . . NOT!!!

  4. I can’t add anything, except to say, his behavior, his intro, and aggressive manner was appalling. I believe Dr. Christine Blasey Ford. Such a brave woman.
Love the picture of Hillary and kava side by side. That says alot. The lights on the building is spot on!
The Jesuit-run Georgetown Preparatory School, Yale University, and the American Bar Association are all urging that Kavanaugh’s nomination be opposed or slowed down too.
Thank you, Nameless for post, and Joanne for cross posting.

  5. Flake’s calling for an investigation gives us more time to pressure our Senators. Keep calling, e-mailing, tweeting, mailing postcards – don’t let up! I call my Senators daily, and call both local and D.C. offices. An extreme right-wing SCOTUS will be a disaster for the U.S.

  6. Most excellent summary of the impressions and feelings the hearing left sane people with, Nameless. I was especially appalled by his crocodile tears when he tried to turn himself into the victim. That poor privileged white male, so harshly persecuted by those lefties, trying to deprive him 0f his dream job…

  7. Lynn’s point about her father (Ford’s) is spot-on, and sad! His damned club is more important than his daughter? Kavanaugh was first appointed to the bench by G.W.Bush, who is lobbying people to support the nominee…another POS! Always was, always will be!

  8. I believe Dr. Ford. Calm and respectful during her testimony. Yay!

I do not believe Brett Kavanaugh. Shouting, angry and disrespectful during his testimony. Ugh!

Excellent comments above from the commentators.!

“If Kava-NAH is confirmed, I fear it will take at least a generation to undo the damage the two of them would wrought.” Nameless is right but I think it would take more than a generation to undo the damage both Drumpf & Kava-NAH may have wrought!! Sigh…
