It’s a muggy day, here in the CatBox.  I’ll have to button-up soon.  I’m listening to Bought Bitch Mitch on TV.  In six minutes, he has told 28 lies, exceeding 4 LPM.  I slept poorly and am tired.  OGIM!

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 4:41 (6:07).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Religious Agony:

0923-Broncos14-Ravens27

Short Takes:

From NY Times: Representative Scott Taylor, Republican of Virginia, has enjoyed a rapid political rise anchored in his valorous background as a member of the Navy SEALs, a credential with great resonance in a district that includes the world’s largest naval station and one of the highest concentrations of voters connected to the military. Fit, square-jawed and telegenic, he was expected to have a relatively easy time winning re-election in November.

But now he is threatened with a sudden fall: His campaign is facing accusations that it was part of an improper effort to help an independent candidate get on the ballot and siphon voters from his Democratic challenger. The allegations, which included using the names of dead people or voters who did not live in the district on signature petitions, were serious enough to warrant the appointment of a special prosecutor, and the independent candidate, Shaun Brown, was stricken from the ballot by the Virginia Supreme Court.

Mr. Taylor’s race is emblematic of an emerging problem for Republicans as they seek to maintain an increasingly tenuous grip on the House: A seat once considered relatively safe is now imperiled because of scandal, expanding an already broad field of Democratic opportunity.

There’s a reason Republicans are always in the hot-seat. Their policies are so vile, that without committing crimes, they could not win. RESIST!! VOTE BLUE!!

From Vox: The political world went into a frenzy Monday morning as various reports suggested Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein — special counsel Robert Mueller’s boss — was out. Some reports claimed he had resigned, and some that he was about to be fired.

But as of early Monday afternoon, Rosenstein was still in his job. And apparently, he’ll be there for at least a few more days — the White House has said he’ll meet with President Trump on Thursday.

Rosenstein said he will refuse to resign and, if asked to do so, he will demand that Putin’s Puppet fire him.  I think this is an attempt to distract attention from Pervert Kananookie’s multiple victims.  RESIST!!  VOTE BLUE!!

From Boston Globe: Dozens of students dressed in black staged a sit-in at Yale Law School on Monday to protest the nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court and demand an investigation into sexual misconduct allegations against him.

Organizers said allegations of sexual assault and harassment should be taken seriously, and Kavanaugh poses a ‘‘real threat’’ to the country. Other Yale students traveled to Washington to protest Kavanaugh’s nomination on Monday.

This is the support Pervert Kavanookie gets from his alma mater. RESIST!! VOTE BLUE!!

  1. 5:54 Pretty in pink.

    Religious agony – cry

NYT – This really is poetic justice. They wouldn’t have pulled THIS particular crime had not previous, probably non-indictable, crimes made the seat threatened.

Vox – It’s pretty clear distraction is one of the intended consequences. Let’s hope it doesn’t happen – but, if it does, I would bet that the UNintended consequences will make orange Judas regret it sooner than later.

BG – In all honesty, Yale (and other big law schools, including the one at my own alma mater) have been a part of the problem for a long, long time. It’s about time that at least some alumni have decided to become part of the solution.

Cartoon – So true it hurts. Ouch!

  2. About time the Alma Mater spoke up against one of their own especially against a sexual predator!

  3. NYT: The dishonesty of this guy is deplorable, and his cohort….stooping this low. Glad they were caught!

Vox: Hope that this isn’t the case of Rosenstein being fired, or resigning in the near future. Yea, sounds like a nerve cracking distraction. Yikes!!

    BG: Kudos!!! Good for them!!!

    Cartoon: So depressingly sad!!

Sorry about your guy’s game. Hope that you have a relaxing evening (after listening to BBM…), take care, and Thanks, Tom.

*This just in: “Sources inside the White House say DT’s enthusiasm for Brett Kavanaugh is waning because he likes rapists who weren’t caught.” ~MD Riot~

  4. NYT: The Great Experiment in Democracy is in danger of going under at the hands of those who are the very loudest at proclaiming their patriotism!  The only thing they salute is greed!
VOX: Apparently the entire thing was just one more GOPIG/tDump scam…an attempt to steer the media away from the Kavanazi stories, stories, stories….
Boston Globe: So wonderful to read this!
‘Toon: That form of slavery may be over, in the U.S., at least, but slavery of the mind is a major GOPIG goal!

  5. Sorry about Your Not-So-Little Ponies. P**s on the Ravens!
Right now the GOP is a head-on collision between a train wreck and a rolling dumpster fire. (Visualize that s**t if you will!) Don’t just vote blue – cast an informed ballot. Only a Blue Tsunami has the least chance of saving this “great” country from plummeting into fascism and bad chaos. This could be our final chance to save the USA – at least, by nonviolent means–

  6. NYT: Scott Taylor, “fit, square-jawed and telegenic”, and Republican (read: rotten) to the core. If he needed this scam to win what was considered a relative easy re-election in November, one can only wonder how he was elected in the first place. It wouldn’t come as a surprise if more dirt was found on dear Scott.

Vox: Drumpf has again given his full support to Kavanaugh (his family is suffering and this should not happen to his family ?), which was to be expected because who else will stop his impeachment when Democrats take the House back in November? But Drumpf apparently can’t be sure Kavanaugh will make it, so he keeps Rosenstein dangling in his job so he can fire him when Kavanaugh fails. Rosenstein’s successor is then to fire Mueller, further obstructing justice. At least that is the scenario playing in Drumpf’s fevered brain, I expect.

BG: Can’t be enough protest against Kavenaugh, and not just from students from his Alma Mater, I hope.

  7. Puzzle — 4:21  Well at least I did not take food away from you!

NY Times — Republican Party = electoral fraud!  IMO, there is more to fear from Republican electoral fraud than there is from voter fraud . . . a lot more!!!

Vox — I hope Rosenstein plays hardball and forces Diaper Don to fire him.  I have no doubt that Diaper Don sees this as a distraction away from the Kavanazi confirmation debacle, but also puts the continuation of the Mueller investigation in question.  AlterNet has a brief article of MSNBC’s Nicole Wallace interviewing Frank Figliuzzi, a former assistant director at the FBI.  He talks about what Mueller is likely doing in anticipation of Diaper Don’s actions.

“… you’re essentially doing that embassy consulate drill where the embassy is about to be taken and you start assuming you’re about to be compromised,” … “You press ‘send’ on those packages — that prosecutorial parachute goes to various state attorneys general and various U.S. attorneys’ offices.”

There is so much scandal and corruption in this administration and Diaper Don is at the centre of it all.  I hope that Diaper Don gets his ass burned but good in this conflagration of his own making.

Boston Globe — I wonder how long it will take Diaper Don to order arrests of protesters? . . . not that he has the power to do so, but I would not put it passed him to try.  I wonder if Kavanazi is feeling the love yet!

Looks more like fear, bewilderment and frustration.

Cartoon — So very sad, but it continues today . . . it just looks  a little different, but the effect is the same.

  8. Thanks all.  Exhausted hugs! 23
