I think that, if Republicans had not stolen 2004 for Crawford Caligula by rigging the Ohio vote count, we’d all be better off. Kerry was spot-on here.

Bill – Monologue – So Manafort flipped. I did Nazi that coming. Glad I’m not in his immediate family – I’d be really worried about polonium or novachek.

John Kerry – “The maturity of an 8-year-old boy with the insecurity of a teen-aged girl.” I think 8-year-old is generous, but the counterpoint is perfect. You know, I could not listen to hthis without tears – tears for the loss of what we have lost as a nation in the last two years. And the last eighteen years.
Commented on the rerun when it was new.
New Rules – I’m not sure Bill grasps how the effect of being a Republican criticizing Trump GETS YOU QUOTED whereas being a Democrat criticizing Trump does not. He doesn’t hear Democrats explaining how Medicare IS socialism – well, I do. But they don’t have the megaphones to amplify their voices that the Republicans do. If it comes to that, Bill himself has a nice income, but he does’t have the megaphone either. Take a poll on how many Americans know who Bill Maher is.

I can hardly wait to plug the laptop into the TV tonight (the TV isn’t a smart one, you might guess) and watch Bill Maher’s videos tonight with hubby. Five, no less. We’re really in for a treat!
Florence: tRump’s regime is falling to pieces now that Manafort has turned on him. I can hardly wait to learn what Mueller gets from him. Anybody who supported tRump and is not ashamed should be!
Scary Socialism: The GOP is a house divided against itself, and we all know what happens to houses that are divided against themselves. Even when they are griping about socialism. Clearly they don’t know what socialism really is – they knee-jerk declare it “evil” while benefiting from it. Libraries, police departments, infrastructure – I could go on and on and on.
While I appreciate Ballmer, the interview with John Kerry and New Rule impressed me the most.
In describing Diaper Don, Kerry said “It’s gone from the Art of the Deal to the Art of the Squeal” which I think perfectly describes Diaper Don and how he operates. Then Kerry goes on to say “He’s got the maturity of an 8-year-old boy with the insecurity of a teen-aged girl.” I partially disagree with him. At best, Diaper Don has the maturity of a 2 year old boy!
Then Bill goes on to describe socialism. In a previous post, Freya described socialism in the US context so well which mirrors Bill’s. Being one who lives in a social democracy, I get very tired of those who equate socialism and communism. A communist state is an authoritarian state, and it has nothing to do with socialism. In fact, I would argue that the Drumpf régime has a lot in common with a communist state. If someone wants to call me a socialist, bring it on! I am a proud social democrat!
