Here in the CatBox the heat wave is winding down. 85° is forecast today, then a couple days in the high 70°s, and then, back to the 80°s for the foreseeable future. I’m waiting for Store to Door to arrive with my groceries. WWWendy comes this evening to destink the desperately smelly TomCat. This morning, in addition to my research and preparing the poll, I made all the graphics and collected all the data needed for July’s Monthly Report. I hope to publish that on Friday. Tomorrow, I have an appointment with my oncologist to formally get my cat-scan results and to give blood for one final test. Therefore please expect no more than a Personal Update from me tomorrow, and I will not be distributing links messages on Care2. Happy Hump Day to all!

Stephen Colbert: Bigfoot porn? Virginia’s midterm election is now all about Bigfoot porn? Sometimes I’m so glad my internet connection still isn’t up to par which gives me an excuse for not watching/following all of the nonsense Republicans come up with.
Robert Reich: As always, spot on. Though people should never vote for legislators who are shills for the financial sector, not only in regard to pension plans. That should exclude about half of the Republicans, the other half is beholden to the Koch brothers and such, corporatskis very much alike to the financial boys. So in fact, don’t vote for Republicans, vote blue whatever you do!
MSNBC: Jeff Flake riding off into the sunset like that couldn’t be more fitting. The sun illuminates the one finger he’s holding up so clearly.
