A Day Without Furies

TomCat was not feeling good enough to post any Sam Bee Thursday (from Wednesday), and I figured

a. If he’s up to posting today (meaning Saturday), he’ll want to post Bill,

b. The amount available on YouTube in segments was short, only a teaser and two “Acts”,

c. I’m walking wounded too, having done a full day out of the house for the first time since I got sick a month ago, and am too exhausted to look for something Erinyes-worthy.

So, here she is – first the teaser (the promo)

I was interested that Sam was also wanting to reclaim the word – and that she is not going to push it, at least for now. But Sam does have sense – and sensitivity.

Act I

This segment would go a long way toward drawing attention to the actual problem which made Sam blow up in the first place – if Americans could read and hear any words longer than four letters.

Act II

Isn’t it ironic that so many people are “scared” of transgender people when they SHOULD be scared of straight white males (not all of them, of course, but that’s the group the most dangerous people are in.)

That’s all, folks, for this show. the Furies and I will be back eventually.

Cross posted to Care2 HERE.

  1. Thanks for posting this for TomCat and adding your own observations, Joanne. Much appreciated.

Sam ?: Best apology I’ve heard in year and hits home on all the right reasons for apologising, none of them Republicans would want to hear.

Sam ??: Her censorship panel is hilarious. And Kudos to her for continuing her exposé, and exposure, of the way wannabe immigrants are treated. I won’t call them illegal because most of them now are apprehended at the border and put in jail before they’re processed and declared illegal.

Sam ???: Your comment is spot on, Joanne. Let’s hope Diego Bernal is successful in playing the long game and that Jason Villalba’s seat will now go to a Democrat because Republicans have now voted the Wicked Witch of Texas to run for it.
By the way I found the response of a GOP committee member to Bernal’s remark “You don’t get to cherry-pick whom among the public you want to serve and not serve.” with “Why, not? Do you want all fashion designers to be required to design a dress for Melania Trump?” terribly Drumpfian, yet still very shocking.

    • Now you go and rest too, Joanne. A whole day out, to visit hubby perhaps, so soon after you’ve been ill must have really taken it out of you. Please take care of yourself; the Furies can do with a rest and so can you.

  2. SB#1: “I’m really sorry that I said that word. But, you know what? Civility is just nice words, maybe we should all worry little bit more about the niceness of our actions.” Are you listening, dt, and your minions? Sam is a classy lady, and speaks the truth, which is refreshing in these days of mealy mouthed lies, coming from our dik-tator. Personally, I wasn’t offended, as I concurred with Sally Field’s comment re: the ‘C’ word. lol.

SB#2: Heartbreaking. Those in high positions should send their children there, see how THAT goes, to feel and hear the heartrending cries and screams from their parents for their little ones. this is sick!

SB#3: Best to Mr. Bernal, as it looks like he in for the long haul. Agree with your comment, JD. Word !!!

Glad to see that you rallied the ‘troops’, even with your exhaustion, and not feeling well. There are some days when I don’t even want to get out of bed, but yet, I do. I always look forward to TC’s and your posts and others here. (It’s the highlight of my days, imho).

Now go back to bed. Take care, and Thanks, Joanne for post.

  3. Thanks for getting these up JD.  I’m listening as I work!  Great job!! 04
