It’s a hot sunny day here at the CatBox and I am already running the AC. I’m still wrong out and tired from poor sleep, brought on by high concentrations of pollen. It’s that time of year again. ARGH!
Nameless Update:
As I write, he had not yet been back to comment, but Nameless did return home yesterday evening. He is probably out partying with family and misbehaving in riotous debauchery.
Jig Zone Puzzle:
Today’s took me 4:31 (average 5:48). To do it, click here. How did you do?
Short Takes:
From YouTube (Parody Project Channel): Petro Dollars – Parody of Wooly Bully
Wouldn’t a boycott on Saudi oil and a move to green energy be wonderful? RESIST!!
From YouTube (MSNBC Channel): The sobering stats for Republicans
Don’t get lazy! Every Republican in office is one Republican too many. RESIST!! Then VOTE BLUE!!
From The New Yorker: In a move that has stirred controversy in both legal and medical circles, Donald J. Trump removed Rudy Giuliani from his legal team on Monday by naming him the new White House doctor.
The decision to appoint the former New York mayor to such a key medical position raised eyebrows, in no small part because Giuliani would become the first White House doctor in history not to possess a medical degree.
But, in an official White House briefing to announce the decision, the press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, pushed back against the criticism of Giuliani’s nonexistent medical credentials. “Rudolph Giuliani is every bit as qualified to be a doctor as he is to be a lawyer,” she said.
Dr. Giuliani hit the ground running in his new job, immediately scheduling an hour-long appearance on Sean Hannity’s Fox News program to discuss the state of Trump’s health.
Sorry Andy. Trump isn’t bright enough to do that. RESIST!!

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
Can you guess who the Sasquatch is? This is our Striders team at the 2018 Alzheimer’s Walk for Memories at Burnaby Lake, BC in Metro Vancouver. BTW, the man in the very centre did the walk and he is 94 years young.
Well, I thought I could if I enlarged it enough, but I can’t be sure even then – too many hats hiding the purple hair. I could guess the one in black, but it would just be a wild guess.
Which one in back JD? Give me a number from right or left or any other description that might help.
PS Even though I changed the dimensions, the picture still did not fit once I hit update. It did fit before I hit submit. Thanks for fixing.
Very back row – five (5) from left – next (to the left) of the person in the pink hat.
Not in back, in BLACK, with some red accents and a white hat. And my second guess was Nameless’ first choice.
Agree with Nameless. The pink/purple streak in your hair should be a clue.
Fantastic job, Lynn; nearly $1200! But your poor knees
Nameless beat me to it, but it’s just a guess. My eyes don’t see that well.
?
PS Congrats!
Nameless is correct! I look like I am scowling but in reality, the bright sun was in my face. I am holding my walking poles in my hand! This was before the walk when my knees were not hurting.
PPC: Word !! Excellent!
MSNBC: What scares me is the poll for dt….44% approve vs. disapprove @ 52%. “OutTrump Trump” Yes, pleese……RESIST. and VOTE BLUE!!
NYer: For a minute there, in the first sentence….I thought this was true. LOL! Get Rudy back on tv, and Faux News so he can talk. Some. More….LOL
Cartoon: Oh, ick!!
We’ve had our air on for about a month now. The outside pollen is gone, thankfully. Hope that you get some much needed rest, do take good care, and Thanks, Tom.
Lynn….WTG!!! Are you the one waving??
Nameless: Glad that you’re home, and on the road to recovery. Take care, friend.
No not waving. Nameless got it on the nose!
5:50 Symmetry, my nemesis.
Oh, I do hope that’s what Nameless is doing!
With Devin Nunes threatening to hold Beauregard in contempt, I wish I could just publish this cartoon. But Horsey is one of the last people I want to piss off. So here’s the link You get the whole article (history can repeat, for sure) and you should be able to open the cartoon in a new window or tab to see it large enough.
PP – Apparently a Wooly Bully IS a sheep that beats up on the other sheep. I always thought so.
Axios – Interesting that they put so much stock in that right track/wrong track question. That’s one I almost never answer, because the country is generally never on either. There is always positive movement and negative movement going on simultaneously. Since Trump has been in office, however…
TNY – LOL! He’d be just about as useful there! For once Aunt Lydia would be right!
Cartoon -No releasing any more Kochs! Keep them locked up!
Great song! This is why We The People need to RESIST and PERSIST. This is why we need to back truly progressive Democrats and take back our country from the greedy and corrupt. Democrats are far from perfect, but they are all we have.
Yeah, Andy. That one just didn’t wash for me. ?! Still love your witty sarcasm, tho!! ? ??
Petro-dollars LOL love it! ?
The puzzle took me way too long to finish!?
i guess practice makes perfect…
PPC: Good, as always.
MSNBC: Go Blankenship, go, you piece of rot! Yes, 44% for dumpy is crazy!
New Yorker: But, in an official White House briefing to announce the decision, the press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, pushed back against the criticism of Giuliani’s nonexistent medical credentials. “Rudolph Giuliani is every bit as qualified to be a doctor as he is to be a lawyer,” she said. You know, she’d be right, for a change.
I’m home and feeling fine. Had a delightful morning visiting w/ my aunt and “pseudo” aunt and uncle. (My real aunt’s brother and sister). Although giving my hearing I missed out on a great deal.
Went out for a wonderful lunch at a more upscale restaurant than I thought it would be – but my “uncle” insisted on picking up the tab.
Am anxious to find what the echocardiogram done on my way out the door shows. I think that’s the linchpin to answer what it going on: pneumonia vs. interstitial edema. (Maybe more medical details once I learn the results.)
Won’t get into the JERK pharmacist at Walgreens who – FOR THE SECOND TIME – has refused to fill an Rx (this one for my antibiotic) without checking with the doctor first.
Being as generous as possible – fine … but why don’t you check w/ the doctor when the Rx comes IN and the “conflict” (real or passively/aggressively imagined) shows up on your computer? Call the doctor THEN rather than making me come to the store and THEN saying “I need to call the doctor.”
NOTE: BOTH TIMES my doctors have approved of the Rx – which means I have to drive back to the store to pick it up.
Am looking how to change pharmacies on Medicare Part D. In over a quarter of a century of practice I NEVER got called about approving an Rx. And this guy has done it TWICE in less than a month.
So much for my BP …
I may be totally off, but I thought your provider has a list, and you can pick anyone on the list, and the new provider will do all the work of the transfer. If Walgreens is on the list, it should be any Walgreens – and one a little farther from home that this on might still save you time and hassle. (In Colorado, Walgreens offers to deliver to my home for free. Do they not do that in MO?)
I’m sure I can switch to a different Walgreens – but I want to change to CVS.
CVS was an option when I selected my Part D Plan – but I’m not sure if I can move to them now, or have to wait for open enrollment, and then wait until 1/1/19.
Glad to see you back, Nameless. The best cure for whatever ails you now seems to get another pharmacist; one that isn’t such a jerk.
As I said, riotous debauchery!
Welcome home, my friend.
I use Walgreen’s mail service pharmacy, and they’ve been better than Wellpartner. I had a similar experience at a Walgreen’s store for my prescriptions after release from the hospital, but since they included 60 Oxycodone, I understand why.
Welcome home Nameless, my dear friend!!! I hope the wait for test results is not too long and tortuous!!! Personally, I hate waiting but know I must. My head always goes to bad news while I wait.
I’ll bet Nike is happy to have his dad back!
PP: Petro Dollars, possibly one of the factors in Drumpf absconding from the Iran deal. Iran is Saudi Arabia’s biggest foe.
MSNBC: Great to hear the Republicans are under water, for the House, that is. But nothing to be COMPLACENT about; not until the whole GOP is buried 35,000 ft deep in the Mariana Trench.
TNY: I bet you’d like to hear some rumours about Drumpf’s health from Giuliani on Fox & Friends to, Andy.
Sorry did not get to comment as at meetings yesterday and did not get home until 2200 hours. I’m going to physio now and then to teaching so I’ll be home late again. Tomorrow should be quieter, fortunately.
I did however like the Parody Project.
I hope you can catch your breath!
Thanks all. Need coffee hugs!
