For the last several days, the political news has been dominated by measures our nation should take, since the MAGA massacre in which a Trump supporter murdered seventeen students. In addition, many have been distracted by the Winter Olympics. Fuhrer Drumpfenfarten and his Republican Reich have been pleased with both, because they have distracted everyone from his criminal conspiracy with the Russians. Therefore, let me remind you.
The editor-at-large for CNBC debunked the latest defenses coming from the White House during a Saturday appearance with Alex Witt on MSNBC.
“What do the recent developments tell you about how [Robert] Mueller is putting all the pieces together in this puzzle?” Witt asked John Harwood.
“Well Alex, we don’t know as a legal matter about collusion, but what we do know is that you had a campaign chairman who had been indirectly on Russia’s payroll through his work for Yanukovych in Ukraine. We know that the Trump organization itself has said that it was dependent on Russian money itself before the campaign started. We’ve got the National Security Adviser to the president having pled guilty and cooperating, and we have a president who has declined to implement sanctions that Congress passed against Russia, who has consistently declined to criticize Russia,” Harwood noted. “And we know that Russian hacking helped him win the election.”
“So the pieces are pretty clear that the Russians helped Donald Trump; Donald Trump is pursuing policies favorable to Russia,” Harwood continued. “There’s a steadily increasing amount of pressure, as Jill [Colvin] was just saying, that renders what the White House is saying as nonsense.”
The panel also discussed White House senior advisor Jared Kushner’s inability to get a permanent security clearance… [emphasis added]

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
I don’t think we have yet discussed here the indictments of 13 Russian nationals (none of whom is about to come over here to stand trial, nor would Vlad allow extradition of any of them), which some are asking why – why did he go to the trouble of a 37 page indictment which is going nowhere, Well, I don’t know, but I think I can guess.
Mueller, unlike anyone in the Trump administration, is neither stupid nor tone-deaf. He is, I suspect, hoping to convince at least some Trump supporters that a crime was indeed committed (technically, that’s the corpus delicti) and that Russians were involved. With sufficient acceptance of that idea, then, when he extends that to Trump and associates, there should be a better chance of avoiding Tiki torches in the streets. There will be some. But hopefully the numbers will not be as high as they would if he released everything at once.
Oh, and Adam Schiff’s counter-memo to the infamous Nunes memo is now public.
Shit flows downhill and Nunes will be, if not already, covered in it! Drumpf’s delay in releasing it and possibly his redactions, are nothing more than political stunts!
I sure hope the kitchen is getting too too hot for Drumpf!
That’s an obvious ditch for great minds to fall into!
JD, your logic makes perfect sense to me!
Can’t wait for the Sheet Fest !!!
Closer……Closer…….BOOM!!!
We need to keep this matter front and center. The sooner we can make the tRump regime implode, the better!
Mueller seems to have a very steady hand on the tiller, as it were, and appears to be paving the way for the “sh**fest” to begin. I do worry about the fringe crazies’ reactions when it does. I would not mind seeing Tucker Carlson, and Hannity both spontaneously combusting, however!
Yes, we do well to remember Mueller’s investigation with all the distractions going on, however important these may be. Although I think that this time Mueller wouldn’t mind a few, but less lethal, distractions when he announces yet another indictment and guilty-plea from people directly associated with Drumpf’s campaign. The net is obviously closing, so Mueller has to pussy-foot around the head-honchos to keep Drumpf from firing him and/or ammosexual Drumpf devotees taking to the streets. Fortunately Drumpf himself is a very good source of distraction, as we all know too well, which means that not only Mueller gets a bit more breathing space, but Republicans get other opportunities to do dirty legislative deeds when nobody is watching. Keep your eyes peeled on them too!
The conservative side of me says it very well be naive to think there will be much of a “splat”. I hope so for sure.
Fly, I think we’re like a rubber band, stretched too far now.
When the elephant turds hit Mueller’s fan, there will be an unholy mess! I can only hope at this point that Drumpf and his administration will be covered in elephant turds like we have not seen before.
With Drumpf’s and the Republican’s disdain for the rule of law, I believe that the US is in the ante room of a constitutional crisis. It will take a lot of work to recover from that, and the first step is for the People to oust the Republican’s from power at the 2018 mid terms.
To me this is all just a continuation of the republican tantrum over the election of President Obama.
Those on the right, and especially from the south, or should I say, confederate states, have had their panties in such a wad that they can barely walk or talk; All over the election of a black man to the highest office of the land. This gigantic snit has developed into a win at any cost attitude that has now allowed a foreign country to alter the outcome of an election and to have a pawn in the White House.
We absolutely must let the Mueller investigation run its course and let the chips fall where they may. Let no stone be unturned and let no one be above the law.
The confederate flag has been sighted in many northern states – Massachusetts, Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, and others … quite possibly all of them. Confederate sympathizers who never saw the south are a dime a dozen. And the tantrum has indeed been epic. And clear.
I remember that, on Obama’s inauguration day, Republicans were screaming about making it the Black House.
Thanks all. Pooped Hugs!
