From NPR: Three-quarters of the seats on the U.S. National Park Service advisory board are vacant following a mass resignation Monday night, citing Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke’s unwillingness to meet with them.
Nine of the panel’s 12 members, led by former Alaska Gov. Tony Knowles, handed in their resignations. The bipartisan panel was appointed by President Barack Obama and the terms of all members who quit were set to expire in May.
When they can’t even get a meeting with Republican park destroyer Stinky Zinke, mass resignation is a valid protest. RESIST!!
From Common Dreams: The win by a Democrat for a state senate seat in Wisconsin’s special election on Tuesday is being seen as the latest sign that traditional Republican strongholds, including districts where Donald Trump beat rival Hillary Clinton handily in 2016, could be up for grabs as the nation eyes this year’s mid-term elections.
The victory by Patty Schachtner, the chief medical examiner at a local hospital, over Republican Adam Jarchow, who currently serves in the State House, in Wisconsin’s 10th Senate District—where Trump triumphed over Clinton by 17 points—was an indication to many Democrats, as the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports, that they are "taking hold of the energy that benefited their party in special elections last year in Alabama, Virginia and Oklahoma." According to reported tallies, Schachtner beat Jarchow by approximately nine points.

NPR: That’s one way to protest. Let us hope that this mass exodus doesn’t open up those positions to tRump’s “drill everywhere we damned well please” stooges.
CD: Another major crack in the GOP monolith. Arguably, the first was Jones’ victory over Molester Moore in Alabama. This could be yet another bellwether for a major political bloodbath in November.

NPR: Zinke is showing exactly what we can expect from these s**holes in the cabinet: they are paid by the Koch Machine, are Tea Party fools, no matter the new nam they took on, and will not compromise with anyone.

Tax Cut Song: No nothing much has changed except that it’s gotten worse. I doubt that many Drumpf followers would see the irony in the similarity in the text on the placards of the demonstrators in the video and those of the Iranians protesting their government right now. If it happens in America it’s fake news, but if it happens in Iran, Drumpf is gushing all over it and cheering them on. Republicans everywhere, I guess.
NPR: A valid protest and much more powerful than waiting to be fired in May. It makes me wonder though, how many advisory boards are still in function? Even many of those Drumpf created himself have walked out on him and others have been made to leave by their Republican appointed Secretaries or Heads. Either these advisory boards are then disbanded or silently filled with Drumpf/Republican acolytes, which amounts to much the same, and another department is doing the bidding of greedy corporations.
