Here are the results of our “Climate Change Effects” poll. Politics Plus Polls are not scientific, because those who respond are not balanced according to demographic categories. Therefore, we do not accurately reflect the makeup of the US population. Nevertheless, our polls are usually factually accurate, and more often than not, they reflect thinking of the majority of those who actually do think.
Since our polling site no longer enables us to copy and paste your poll comments, you may read them here.
I answered greatly, as the effects here have been so profound as to interfere with my mobility, but there is no correct answer, as the effects vary for each individual depending on situation and location. Nevertheless, it’s no accident that 95% of you chose somewhat or greater.
The new pool is up and it’s about our favorite kind of peach for Putin’s Peach Puppet. After you vote, please…

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
Voted all.”In my book, he’s guilty through and through for every single one of these violations in his position as the President. He’s a disgrace, not only in his job, but to all Americans. imho.”
Thanks, Tom for the poll.
I did not realize we could vote for each, but thought that Treason was the most odious!
That’s what it means when the boxes are square, and I say check all that apply.
Old poll: We’ve seen some increases in snowfall, since the nineties, due to icecap melting. Now we are seeing fewer. I suspect that’s because the icecaps are already depleted, which is scary as he**, but hard to see if one isn’t looking I am however, looking at other places – and what I an seeing is apalling.
New poll: I think he’s guilty of all, but I don’t think treason is provable. Sedition will have to stand in for that.
I also checked other, although I suppose in real life one needs to be a Democrat to be formally charged with sexual assault, let alone convicted. Republicans don’t consider that a crime, but SOP.
Amen on other!
Ironically, if we consider that Harvey’s strength derives from global warming, I had a nice impact, the other day. A young cousin, and her husband of almost 4 years, from Austin, moved their flight plans up a day, to try to be sure they’d get out of Austin ahead of Harvey. As a result, we had a nice visit, as they stayed with us, on their way to their flight out of Newark on Saturday. BTW, they are in Iceland, which is showing more of its land,as its glaciers retreat!
Most who responded in the Climate Change poll had experienced its effects to some extend, some even strongly. That made me wonder what we as individuals are doing to counteract the further rise in temperature as much as possible. I, for one, will have to admit that I could be doing far more than I’m doing now. Could you have a poll on that sometime in the future, TomCat?
Remind me around the 14th.
I maintain as low a carbon footprint as I can, but ironically, climate change has forced me to use more heat in the winter and more AC in the summer.
Active Advisory: Excessive Heat Warning remains in effect until 9 PM PDT
through Monday…
Yesterday was 102.1, Today was 112, tomorrow 110+/-, Sunday 99+/-. sigh…
SF is usually 20 degrees cooler in the bay area than in all of the area inlands had a record of 99 degrees F.
New Poll: I”ll tick off on ALL high crimes plus Other (comment): money laundering, “unconstitutional / illegal pardons”, Diddling the Electoral College, racketeering.
It doesn’t matter to me under whatever charge Drumpf gets arrested for whether it is federally or from the State of NY. As long as Drumpf get arrested, convicted and sent to prison is fine with me. I so want Drumpf in an orange jumpsuit is all that matters to me! Drumpf has made a mockery of the office of POTUS.
.
Diddling the Electoral College is Conspiracy to commit election theft.
Thanks all. Hot hugs!
I did not vote but I did think about it. I think if anyone votes anything less than ‘considerably’, they are fooling themselves. Just look at the weather extremes to start. Then add in things like failed crops, prices for food and fuel, and then other product impacts. We were advised that fuel prices will go up significantly, especially in the east because the Texas Gulf coast refineries are down on account of Harvey and they largely supply the east.
Too often we do not think further ahead down the impact line.
