Good Riddance Rancid Reince

Largely due to his fascist tendencies in the Totalitarian Plutocracy of Fitzwalkerstan, formerly Wisconsin, I gave Priebus the label Rancid Reince, when he assumed control of the RNC in January, 2011.  I have never had any respect for him, because of the vile tactics he and his party have employed.  I became less critical, when he became a never-Trumper, but that only lasted until the Peach Pervert got the nomination.  Afterwards Priebus wore a continuous orange-brown smudge on the tip of his nose and was rewarded with the position of Chief of Staff in the Rectum Reich… until yesterday.  Good riddance Rancid Reince!

0729ReinceReince Priebus will be replaced as White House Chief of Staff, President Donald Trump announced on Twitter [Traitor Tweet delinked] late Friday.

The former Republican National Committee chairman, widely seen as a moderating influence on an erratic chief executive, is out just over six months after the administration took their seats.

Trump’s senior staff have been at each other’s throats almost since Inauguration Day, according to waves of insider reports. Priebus and senior advisers Steve Bannon and Jared Kushner have found themselves at odds repeatedly as they sought to sway the president on messaging, policy priorities, and legislative tactics during a half-year in which Republicans have repeatedly failed to repeal Obamacare, break ground on a U.S.-Mexico border wall, and fulfill other signature Trump promises.

His firing comes barely a day after Trump’s other newest hire, communications director Anthony Scaramucci, openly accused Priebus of leaking documents to the press to embarrass his own boss and colleagues. (The document Scaramucci cited was publicly available and obtained by a reporter who called and asked for it.)

Priebus will give way to Gen. John Kelly, currently Trump’s Secretary of Homeland Security. White House reporters say Priebus had resigned privately on Thursday but hoped to stay on another day or two, and that Trump’s decision to dismiss him on Twitter came after staff urged him to move faster…

Admittedly, I can thing of few harder jobs than being Trump’s Chief of staff.

But Kelly is no great gift to America, either.  He’s the fascist who has been terrorizing Latino’s at the border for the Fuhrer.  Furthermore, he could not be more unqualified.  Chief of Staff is the3 most politically involved job in the White House, and Kelly has no political experience.  He’s all military.  The only way for him to survive is to become the Fuhrer’s sycophant.  I consider that likely, but only until he becomes the scapegoat for another Trump failure.

  1.  There’s not much to be added to this excellent overview.  I have commented in a couple of other places on the ‘net that complaining the document Mooch was fulminating about was leaked is like claiming that some one leaked that 2 + 2 = 4 – or perhaps the Bible.

(Queen fans – please note that “fulminating” derives from the Latin “fulmen,” which means “thunderbolt.”)

  2. Just gets worse and worse with these firings and hirings via the twittler. ugh!!

  3. My Dutch newspaper had an article about Priebus’ demise with an interesting view on what this means to Drumpf’s relationship with the GOP I’d like to share:

Friday the US president Donald Trump made another change known to his staff per tweet. Reince Priebus was dismissed as chief of staff of the White House. Secretary of Homeland Security John Kelly has been appointed as his successor.

Although Trump thanked Priebus profusely in a tweet ( ‘Together we have achieved a lot and I’m proud of him!’) It was clear in recent days that he would not be long among the faithful of the president. The new communications director for the White House, Anthony Scaramucci, accused Priebus last Thursday in an unmistakable manner of leaking important information to journalists. In an interview with a journalist from The New Yorker Priebus he called ‘a fucking paranoid schizophrenic, a Paranoiac’.

The departure of Priebus, like the departure last week of spokesman Sean Spicer, is a sign that the of Trump’s relatives (his children and son Jared Kushner) are becoming increasingly influential. Priebus, Spicer and Vice President Mike Pence keep an eye on the interest of the Republican Party. [emphasis mine]

Priebus was the former chairman of the Republican Party and therefore a man from the party elite, and has never managed to win Trump’s confidence in the last six months. His successor, John Kelly, however, is one of Trump’s golden boys. The former general is also known for his preference for strict controls on the border with Mexico and his criticism of former President Barack Obama.

This article was published in NRC Handelsblad on Saturday, July 29, 2017, pages 2-3

If this editor is right, Drumpf may now be starting to dig himself into an even bigger hole by alienating the GOP even further, the only link now being VP Pence who’d love to take Drumpf’s chair in the Oval office. His next dismissal (Sessions?) may be the one to push – at least some – Republicans into the first steps of ousting him of his presidency.

    • I have been thinking the same thing.  I think Drumpfenfarten has realized that he’s taking the heat for the excesses of the Republican Reich that predate his Residency. 35

  4. Reince has been more useless as Chief of Staff than he was as RNC head.  “Mooch,” as “…unhinged, sycophantic,  sociopath,” has found his calling, working, now, for the hingeless, centers, psychopathic president!  Can you imagine the language he will use when Rumpy gives him the dumpy?
The only use, not a bad one, at that, for Kelly, might be to stop Trump from going nuclear on N.Korea!

  5. Right from the beginning, Drumpf has shown no leadership, no clear articulation of what he wants in an “aide”, and certainly no self control in what he does.  Spicer is gone, no great loss.  Now Priebus is gone, no great loss again.  I read that Tillerson is thinking of calling it quits because things are so chaotic within the administration.  As one commenter in the video said, Drumpf is at the centre of all the chaos, and in my opinion, one of the chief perpetrators of it, if not THE perpetrator.

I remember a line from the movie “A Clear and Present Danger” where Harris Yulin as James Cutter, the president’s chief of staff, says to a colleague in the CIA I believe: “How can he (the president) be clear when clarity is not what he wants.”  That reminds me of Drumpf . . . unclear, expecting people around him to intuitively know what he means and wants, the creator of chaos.

From the first time I saw Priebus, I did not like him.  He reminds me of Ferret Face in MASH.  I am glad to see him gone and would only say to him:  Don’t let the gate hit you on the ass on your way out.  BTW, I did clear my comment with the Brotherhood of Furry Ferrets.  As to Kelly, I don’t have an opinion yet, but if he is being tapped by Drumpf, it is not a good sign.

    • Here is the CBC’s take on the Priebus/Kelly thing  http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/trump-reince-priebus-resigns-chief-of-staff-john-kelly-1.4227085?cmp=rss

The exit of Reince Priebus as White House chief of staff means that Donald Trump loses a Washington insider with key congressional contacts, at a time when the U.S. president’s politically inexperienced administration is starving for a legislative win.

Trump also loses a “sycophant” whose failure to tell the president “hard truths” probably doomed him, says Chris Whipple, an American political historian who has interviewed all 17 living White House chiefs of staff. …

“This is a guy who could not walk in and close the door behind him and tell Trump what he didn’t want to hear,” Whipple said. “I saw him as another sycophant. The West Wing is just full of them.”  …

There is one condition that Whipple said Kelly must insist on, and it involves the president’s favourite micro-blogging service.
“This cannot work unless Kelly gets an advance look to clear all of Trump’s tweets,” he said. “That should be the first non-negotiable condition he can set.”

      • Apparently Dutch and Canadian reporters are on the same page about the further loss of contact with Congress, i.e. the GOP. 09

  6. Thanks all!  Pooped Hugs! 45
