I disagree on one point. Trump is orange trash, not white trash.
It’s nice to see Bill interviewing a LGBT activist. Recently, he has been too nice to too many Republicans. While we are the party of urban Americans, Savage referring to rural folks as "knuckle drag America" does not help. If anything, it energizes hatred against Democrats. If we all need to stand together, and we do, that includes rural Americans.
Chilling!! Clarke could not be more spot-on.

p.s. Who knows? I may have seen you back in the day at AC. We (family) lived all summer long in OC, just a hop skip and jump away….late 50’s/60’s. Good memories. Amazing how time flies by, isn’t it?

I noticed in my newsletters there was new stuff from Bill, and wished I had time to read it before the townhall, especially the Dan Savage part. (off topic: I am 71 and blonde – but not a yellow blonde. But my ash blonde hair still has some platinum on the way to straight gray. Hubby commented on it just last week, and he was not going for points.) WRT orange vs. white trash, white trash is one of those ohrases which is no longer literal, so I’ll go with Bill, though yuu are correct too. (And did Bill ever nail the “health care plan”?
Savage interview – “Pivot” – Dolt.45’s pivot might consist of changing whiich foot he shoots himself in. Anything else would be too much to expect. As far as fighting as dirty as the GOP fights – I’m not sure we could for a number of reasons – one of which is that knuckle drag America has been hypnotized into thinking we already do. Can you imagine what would happen if they actually had evidence? And yes, I typed knuckle drag America. But I don’t mean rural America by that. I mean trump voting America. Hey, I live among them, And I know.
Clarke interview – “We” have done nothing? There is no “we” who can do anything. There is only Republicans, as far as the eye can see. Clarke sees that, and he essentially said it, but then they went back to “we.”
Summer – This is so true it makes me want to CRY.
Republicans, who spew hate are knuckle draggers. We just need to be sure to specify, as you just did, that it’s because of what they do, not where they’re from.
Firt Bill: No, let him keep the damned phone, his twitter life is a constant mender about just how dumb and sick he is! Yes, the Repuglicare plan will find us where airliners can’t!
Second Bill: Savage is sooooo right about the messaging!
Third Bill: Invaded! Literally! Oh, that’s a good reason to fire people.
Fourth Bill: I think he is right about FAUX News! McCain, and Hockey Puck came after FN had begun. We owe much that has gone wrong with this country to Roger Ailes, and the assholes he made famous. Then, again I urge you, once again, to read “Idiot America, How Stupidity Became a Virtue in the Land of the Free,” by Charles P. Pierce.
Bill #1:
Bill’s on a roll there again, but that’s rather easy for him with Drumpf and the Republicans “working” so hard this week.
Bill #2: Savage has a point when he says that Democrats need to start fighting like Republicans, even as dirty as Republicans. Being the nice guys, “setting an example” to the GOP has never worked and certainly will not work now, but I don’t think by playing dirty they’d have to cheat like Republicans. That would destroy the last bit of trust people have left in politicians. However they do need to have each other’s backs, stand united.
Bill’s “climatia” for climate change.
Bill #3: Clarke: “The Russians conducted the largest psychological warfare campaign in history and they won.” Wow. “And he [Drumpf] doesn’t care, because he won”.
Bill #4: We’re at maximum stupid all year round. Amen.
