Lest Republicans accuse me of being anti-gun, let me start by setting the record straight. Although I own no guns now, I have for most of my life. In my youth I hunted for food. I was even a member of the NRA, and I earned my Sharpshooter ranking with nine bars. This was back when the NRA was a fine public service organization dedicated to gun safety, education and training, and if they were to return to what they were then, I would happily support them again. I oppose them now because they have become a lobbyist for gun manufacturers and a spokesman for GOP Ammosexuals, political violence, and racial hatred.
Take a look at the ad below and ask whether the National Rifle Association can go any lower. Ponder this flagrant call for violence, this insidious advocacy of hate delivered with a sneer, this threat of civil war, this despicable use of propaganda to arouse rebellion against the rule of law and the ideals of democracy.
On the surface this is a recruitment video for the National Rifle Association. But what you are really about to see is a call for white supremacy and armed insurrection, each word and image deliberately chosen to stir the feral instincts of troubled souls who lash out in anger and fear:
Disgusting. Dishonorable. Dangerous. But also deliberate. Everything deplored by the NRA in the ad is committed by “they” — a classic manipulation turning anyone who disagrees with your point of view into “The Other” — something alien, evil, foreign…

Well, I’m all for them clenching their fists. And keeping them clenched. Clenched so tightly they cannot pick up their guns. Yes, this could not be more inflammatory if it came with an uncapped gallon of gasoline and a box of matches.

Betsy De Vos has been called out for her homophobia, by 30 Dem. Senators; Germany just voted to allow same sex marriage! This actress has been paid to spread the idea that “Their” president was/is a bad guy! Was not HER president…but he won both the popular and electoral vote TWICE!!!! And, sorry, but, Rumpy has been doing the Hitler dance!
This makes me want to cry, that any group in our country could sink so low.

Overboard? This is so “Sieg Heil” it no longer just nauseates but makes your blood run cold. Or hot and grab your gun if you’re an ammosexual, and that is exactly what this ad intends to provoke: hatred against the unnamed “them”, i.e. the left, people of color, the LGBT community, foreigners… This “ad” has Alt-right’s stamp all over it.
I can rest assured that something like this would never be allowed to go public here. There would be only one place for it:
Clear incitement for violence – and that’s illegal.
Any members of the NRA who see this video, and are not so embarrassed by it that they cancels their membership, are total jerks. Anybody who sees the least thing positive about this vile propaganda has the conscience of a buzzard and the scruples of a parasitic worm. I’ve watched it twice, just to make sure I really heard what I thought I did. I still can’t believe it’s for real! Is the NRA trying to besmirch its own image? If I didn’t know better, I’d swear that gun-control advocates made it in order to tarnish the NRA. This video has enough B.S. in it to make the entirety of Death Valley bloom like the Garden of Eden.
