Last night, Samantha Bee’s NOT the White House Correspondents Dinner did not come on until 10:00 PM, and I fell asleep waiting for it to start. Fortunately for me, I found it all online and watched it this morning. Fortunately for you, I consider it much too good not to share. Enjoy!

Pt. 8: Woman in the High Castle

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
FABulous, and WONDERFUL!!!
WooHoo!!
Since Sam is perfect, instead of trying to comment on her. Instead I'll share some of the very few repeatable things from the "real" one (which is probably an alternative fact anyway.)
Hasan Minahj got in a line that I'm sure many perople missed looking for it when he was speaking about how none of the administration was there (in a line that people DID get, he threw away that Betsy DeVos was too busy curating her collection of childrens' tears). He looked all arounfd the roome and repeated that he did not see Steve Bannon – not see Steve Bannon – not see Steve Bannon – [Nazi Steve Bannon] … I am not going to tell you his whole speech was worth watching, but many progessives found it very funny.
Woodward and Bernstein appeared together for the first time in, how long? Carl, who knows better than most, urged reporters to work to get the "best obtainable version of the truth." Bob described how much work, how many times coming back to the same people, for more interviews, it took to get there. "Very aggressive reporting is often necessary."
(Oh, BTW, the Cold Open to the NTWHCD was also worth watching.)
Thanks for the links! Great show!
Great stuff!
Resist and Persist!!!

Thanks for the full Not The White House Correspondents' Dinner, TomCat. Thoroughly enjoyed that. I hope they got a lot of donations in for the Committee to protect Journalists, a very worthwhile cause.
RESIST & PERSIST!
Fantastic!!
May Helen Thomas rest in peace, knowing that she left a wonderful legacy!
Stayed on to watch Hasan Minhaj, and Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward…also wonderful!
Returning to Sam Bee, the video of Hillary as president caused some goose bumps to be experienced.
Oh, me too, me too. And tears.
Thanks all. Pooped hugs.
