Wendy is on the way now and will be here, before I can finish this. I slept very well last night for the first time in weeks, but I want to keep it light to avoid stressing myself, so this is today’s only article.
Wendy is gone, and I took time out to write a letter to the Parole Board for one of my guys for whom I do prison volunteer work. I’ve known him for almost 30 years, and he is the one most deserving of release.

From YouTube (GQ Channel): Which of Trump’s Cronies Will Flip on Him First? | The Resistance with Keith Olbermann
And I called Fuhrer Drumpfenfarten the Tangerine Traitor, even before his inauguration. RESIST!!
From NY Times: The Trump administration, signaling its intent to toughen enforcement of immigration laws across the country, threatened on Monday to withhold or revoke law enforcement funding from states, cities and localities that block the police or sheriffs from telling federal authorities about undocumented immigrants in their custody.
In an announcement at the White House, Attorney General Jeff Sessions said state and local governments seeking certain law enforcement grants would have to certify that they were complying with a law that bars any official from withholding information from the Department of Homeland Security about a person’s immigration status. Those that are violating the policy could see such grants clawed back, he said.
What Hooded Beauregard (R-KKK) is not telling us is that that Republicans already plan to strip federal funding from state and local programming anyway. RESIST!!
From Think Progress: Nationally, clean energy jobs outnumber fossil fuel jobs by more than 2.5 to 1, according to a new Sierra Club analysis of Department of Energy jobs data. And when it comes to coal and gas — two sectors President Donald Trump has promised to bolster through his upcoming executive order on energy regulation — clean energy jobs outnumber jobs dealing with those two fossil fuels by 5 to 1.
“Right now, clean energy jobs already overwhelm dirty fuels in nearly every state across America, and that growth is only going to continue as clean energy keeps getting more affordable and accessible by the day,” Sierra Club executive director Michael Brune said in a statement. “These facts make it clear that Donald Trump is attacking clean energy jobs purely in order to boost the profits of fossil fuel billionaires.”
By hamstringing clean energy to subsidize fossil fuel, the Peach Plutocrat is ensuring Americand will have fewer jobs and less energy independence. But it does serve the interests of Gazprom. RESIST!!

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
Their hateful stupidity just NEVER ends, does it?
OK, Donnie … it was more of a rhetorical question – but you got the right answer (for once).
Bingo!
4:48 Somehow the words "tropical" and "pine trees" don't go together for me.

Russ Feingold is organizing a new group called LegitAction (rather than focusing on whether something is godd or bad, or progressive or not, to focus on whether it can be justified as legitimate in a democracy). I don't expect any Republicans to care about this distinction, but I do. Here's the group's first petition, opposing Neil Gorsuch, on the ground that
Barack Obama won the 2012 presidential election by approximately 5 million votes. Donald Trump lost the 2016 election by approximately 3 million.
I see there's a new page on Twitter; here's the details: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2017/03/27/1647743/-Thanks-to-these-computer-developers-when-Trump-tweets-the-ACLU-gets-a-donation
Keith #51 – "Purging their cell phones." And this, ladies and gentlemen, is EXACTLY why you do not comment on an ongoing investigation. Sure hope it's not already too late. And isn't it ironic that it's the REPUBLICANS who just gave away all our internet histories, allowing ISPs to sell them to the highest bidder?
NYT – You seem to be assuming that Republicans feel a need to show consistency. This has yet to be demonstrated. They are perfectly capable of hitting some harder than others and seeing no problem.
TP – Well, so much for the "free market." But then, we knew that was hypocrisy already, didn't we?
Cartoon – Yup. Kills even more people than fossil fuels, and it's a toss-up which makes their lives more miserable before they succumb.
JD, would you please delete this RESIST from the database? It's a JigZone puzzle and the have a no use © notice. Sorry.
Done and replaced with a different one here, and on my way to replace the other times I have used it.
Later – Back now. I had only used it once before, and it's now replaced.
Thanks JD, Sorryt to be a pain in the ( ) ), but I gotta keep us out of trouble.
No problem. Just wanted you to know I try not to screw up, but I also try to keep track in case I do.
KO: Speaks the Truth! Treason: "The betrayal of one's own country by waging war against it or by consciously or purposely acting to aid its enemies." This makes him a Traitor. He's not the only one, get them all out!!
NYT: Deporable!!!
TP: Oh, Mother Russia will guide Thumpelthinskin to what's best for both of them, and not us, nor our jobs.
Glad to read that you got some sleep, what a great feeling, hope it was uninterrupted too. Enjoy your evening, take care, and Thanks, Tom.

Keith Olbermann: Treason! Treason! Treason! Treason! Treason! Treason! Treason!
Referring to Joanne's "new page on Twitter; here's the details:" above. Not to take any good works and donations for the ACLU organization, this is a petition to have Drumpf's Twitler account removed.

My comment on the petition:
Take Drumpf's Twitler account away and bar him from Twitler until he is impeached, resigns, becomes a private citizen or dies of acute stupidity.
Also signed the 'oppose-the-gorsuch-confirmation' petition in Joanne's comment box above.

Puzzle — 3:30 I decided to relax on the bench gazing out at the sea, feeling the gentle breezes caress my brow.
YouTube — To quote Keith: "Treason! Treason! Treason! Treason! Treason! Treason! Treason! " Keith says it all!
NY Times — There is no humanity in the current Republican administration! If someone takes sanctuary in a church, how would that affect things? . . . or would these Republican asshats barge into the church and remove people anyway?
Think Progress — Drumpf's allegiance is to the oil & gas billionaires — their profits! He talks about bringing jobs back to the US, some of which he shipped overseas as did some of his cronies, but he totally ignores a growing and vital industry. To use one of his pet ideas, growing the renewable energy industry is a national security issue.
Cartoon — Has anyone learned from this mistake?
Resist and Persist!!!
I am glad to hear that you slept well last night. There is nothing like a good night's sleep. Keeping the stress down is a good thing so that your body recovers. I have a feeling that I am coming down with something as I have had a bit of a sore throat and headache today. I hope I am wrong.
I hope you just have a case of spring fever, Lynn, which a little sunshine and some extra vitamin C may bring to a halt before it turns into something worse. Stay well, my friend.
I sure hope you're wrong too! Stay well!
So much good news on the personal front today, TomCat. You finally had a good night's sleep, but you kept yourself from overdoing things and gave priority to writing a letter to the Parole Board for your guy. Being able to do something for your guys must feel good and lift your spirits up a bit too. So don't let Drumpf and his minions get you down; not only RESIST them but also resist the temptation get stressed about it.
Keith Olbermann: Love that man; there's no way Drumpf or any one around him will escape his relentless scrutiny. Has Keith been a prosecutor or something similar in a former life? He seems to make a solid case for the prosecution in each of his videos. The way to go is clear: first get Nunes out of the committee as chairman – and put him under investigation too – then go full force, not accepting perjury as they did with Sessions, and going all the way to the top. If treason turns out to be the case, then persecute those guilty of it. There's no need for Committees to hold back to protect America's reputation, there's no longer any reputation to protect.
NYT: What a bunch of hypocrites. When red states refused to comply with federal law and made school honor their state's Bathroom Law to force transgenders to use the bathroom according to the gender on their birth certificate, they cried foul loudly when government took federal funding of schools away and took it to court. Now the shoe is on the other foot and the threaten to take federal funding of law enforcement away from those states who won't comply with the Draconian immigration laws (or is it still just a decree?). And telling those states they will lose their federal funding if they do not comply when they 're about to lose it anyway is not hypocritical, that is fraudulence, a con. Welcome to governing a country like it's a business.
TP: On the news here, someone took the trouble of looking up the people working directly in the coal mines: the jobs Drumpf is always talking about, and the numbers are even worse: there are only 65,000 coal miners left compared to 830,000 people working in energy efficient jobs. The executive order Drumpf signed yesterday will not create more jobs in the mines. The mines will stay open for a few years longer, but mechanization of the work will only make more miners jobless while owners maximize their profits at the cost of jobs and the environment. If America were to investigate whole-heartedly in forms of green energy the number of jobs in that sector could rise from 1.3 to 1.9 million jobs by 2050.
And then we're not even talking about the effect this executive order will have on the efforts of all those other countries who have signed the Paris treaty to reduce their CO2/methane footprints. America is not going to get its levels down as promised, in fact is not even trying to, but increasing them instead. Other countries will find it hard to stick to their agreements in the knowledge it just won't be enough. Drumpf may have made history yesterday by signing our planet's death warrant.
Cartoon: We can count on it that a lot more nuclear power plants are going to be build too, but not only for 'clean' energy. Those nuclear missiles Drumpf and the weapon industry are so keen to make Tippy Top again need their ammunition, don't they.
Thanks all! Hugs!!
KO: Treason is treason, is treason, is treason…regardless of who might benefit! Those who do benfit, if it happens, will call it by some nice, sweet euphemism; but I'll call it Trumpson!
NYT: These hypcritical clowns will stop at no subterfuge, never have!
TP: What? Facts? Don't you know what St.Ronald thought of facts, and these clowns just love them some St. Ronald: "Facts are just annoyances!" Now, there's some intelligence for you!
Joanne, I signed the petition, as well.
Love the Drump video a ripper
