From Politico: President-elect Donald Trump on Monday threatened to unravel President Barack Obama’s progress with Cuba unless the communist nation accedes to his terms.
“If Cuba is unwilling to make a better deal for the Cuban people, the Cuban/American people and the U.S. as a whole, I will terminate deal,” Trump tweeted Monday morning.
Translation: Better Deal for the Cuban People = Cuban government subsidies for Trump Towers Havana.

The Orange County Register reported Saturday that Islamic centers in Long Beach, Claremont and San Jose received photocopies of the same handwritten letter calling Muslims “vile,” “evil,” and “the children of Satan.” Signed “Americans for a Better Way,” the letter warns that with Trump’s election, a “day of reckoning has arrived” for American Muslims.
“He’s going to cleanse America and make it shine again,” it reads. “And he’s going to start with you Muslims. He’s going to do to you Muslims what Hitler did to the Jews.”

TPM — This makes my blood boil, and the more I hear about such occurrences, the more it boils. I feel sorry for the white nationalist idiots because they are blinded by their illogical rage and hatred. There have been similar incidences here too. I stand in solidarity with those who are the subject of the Drumpf fueled hate — Muslims, Hispanics, Jews, African Americans etc. The only way America will "shine again" is when the flame of intolerance is extinguished.

It is so ridiculously scary to have the moron we call Trump running the country. Lawrence O'Donnell made a good point last night in saying that we cannot find the truth in anything Trump says or does because there is no truth…he's created a soap opera with horrible characters that nobody likes and nobody can trust. I am depressed.
TC – have you tried ointment based on cayenne pepper for pain relief – it really is very good at reducing pain, and is now available worldwide. I'm sure there are lots of types, but the one I first found and still use is called Percutane. There are only a couple of caveats – and they will seem obvious but if tired and in pain sometimes we need to be reminded a) either put this on with a glove or wash your hands, particularly under the nails, carefully – if you rub your eye with an inefficiently cleaned finger and it has this on, I don't think it would do any harm, but it does sting – though water has always cured it. b) beware if you are prone to very low blood sugar – once I waited in howling pain for two hours for it to work and then put some more on – then the first lot kicked in. My that was hot! It was only later I realised what had happened – but the good thing is that I've never forgotten it!
I don't know of any drug interactions, but we should always check and see if any have been reported with any medication we may be taking.

I thought Icy Hot did include cayenne, but I looked it up, and it doesn't – at least the products I looked at. There is one formula that has lidocaine (wouldn't that be what Daryl mentioned?) Badger Balm Sore Muscle Rub has cayenne (and the Sore Muscle Rub Extra Strength has more cayenne), and I agree that it can be very effective, but wash your hands. It's not just eyes but any mucous membrane that can be vulnerable (and I guess underarms aren't mucous, but they can also be tender). (The other two formulas are Sore Muscle Rub – Cooling Blend which is menthol based and Sore Joint Rub which is arnica based and also good for bruises.) I use all four, not together, but depending on what seems appropriate.
I have used the cayenne based products and never again. it stays on the skin for hours, and I've touched it and then touched my eyes. It's like getting pepper sprayed by the cops!!
Ah, I shouldn't have forgotten TC – kitties hate water on their paws! Paw washing would have avoided that pain – the reason I included the mention to wear gloves or wash hands carefully esp under the nails is because I've done it before – but washing the eye out saved me, and it wasn't bad enough to make me avoid the cayenne pepper ointment, thank goodness, or I would be left with no pain relief at all (argh!). Sorry you had such a bad experience.
