If there is one subject you are sick of hearing about, it must be the third Debate between Hillary Clinton and Rump Dump Rectum.  Nevertheless, your collection of debate materials cannot be complete, until you get the buzz on the debate from Samantha Bee!

Debate 3: The Good, The Bad, The Nasty (Act 1, Part 1)

I understand that Wile E. Coyote is suing Sam for defamation of character.

Debate 3: The Good, The Bad, The Nasty (Act 1, Part 2)

Actually there is such a thing as a partial birth abortion. Only the bad part of the abortion that we call Trump was born.

I hope you enjoyed these as much as I did.

  1. Other than Care2 (if you count that) and Daily Kos (if you count that), I am not on any form of social media.  But boy, can I identify with women sharing deeply personal stories.  I have been reading and weeping.  Deeply personal.  You know, that ectopic pregnancy my mother had, which almost killed her, the end of that pregnancy was an abortion.  And, had her OBG not fought for her like a tiger, transfusing her own blood that she was losing back into her veins, she would have died.  And I would not be here.  How much more personal can you get?

    • Not much more!  Given the ectopic pregnancy, and all that happened…we have you to be grateful for!

    • WOW!

Autologous transfusions were quite common in the early days of HIV – but those were Predeposit Autologous Donation (PAD) for elective surgeries where the patient would donate their own blood to be used if needed to avoid possible HIV infection from tainted blood.

And although Intraoperative Cell Salvage (ICS) is not uncommon in obstetrics – especially among women at high risk of postpartum hemorrhage during emergency Caesarean sections – I has not idea it was in use back in 1936.

      That’s an amazing story.

Sad to hear about Barbara – but glad your Mom made it and was able to have you!  I guess it’s true in many instances: a door shuts, and a window opens.

      • I wasn't there in 1936, and no one who was (involved in that procedure) is still alive, so I can't be sure.  But I was always under the impression that it wasn't in common use in 1936, that he had to do some improvisation with tools at hand to make it work.  As I say, I don't know that – it was just my impression.   And sometimes I am incredibly slow.  It took me this long to realize – yes – that qualified as an abortion.  Mom always referred to it as a "burst tubal pregnancy."  I doubt if she ever grasped that in fact it was an abortion too.

    • I could not be more thankful that you're here.

  2. WOW, Joanne….Kudos to your mother that you are here with us, but also…that she is your Blessing.
Thank you for sharing your story.

    Snap, Snap!!! Sam, spot on!!

    Thanks, Tom

    • Thank you, Pat, for understanding.  It would have been in 1936 that it happened.  They had a name – Barbara – picked out for a girl, for which they were hoping.

  3. I am thankful to you, TC, for introducing me to Sam B., and for having been, and having been doing, what that alowed you to work with MLK and Tom Hayden!  You never fail to amaze me.  Alright, enough ass kissing!  It sems that the Empty Orange One has really brought on his own deserts, may get crushed, (no pun was killed for his sake)and take the likes of Rubio with him!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Two weeks, two weeks, that's all that's left of this disgrace called an election campaign, so far, but possibly destined to be called "The Great Orange Unravelling!" by many.

  4. There are also cases where the fetus dies, and must be removed from the womb.  Before Roe v Wade, this was considered an abortion and the woman was forced to carry a dead fetus  to full term.  Oh, yes, Republicans, take us back to that kind of hell.

    • It did depend on the state – there was a diagnosis called "blighted ovum" that one Kossack spoke about – in her case they had discovered at the earliest possible moment, I believe she said ten weeks, that there was no heartbeat, and a diagnosis of "blighted ovum" allowed her to get the dead fetus removed.  But, and especially later, not everyone is that fortunate, and carrying around a dead fetus is likely to kill a woman – it is toxic(septic).  If she does not die, she is extremely likely to become infertile for life.

  5. I LOVE Sam Bee! I can ACTUALLY get my husband to watch it with me! That is an accomplishment!

Love the clips you shared, TC! Have a good one, dude!

  6. "…managed to do what … the entire Republican establishment couldn't do . . . beat this dick waving Berlusconi knock-off like a little bitch.  Her name is Hillary."

This is my favourite line!  Sam is so spot on!  Love her to pieces!

  7. Yes, I've enjoyed that as much as you did, TomCat.

Sam Bee connected Drumpf to Wile E. Coyote which is both brilliant and disturbing. Like that cartoon character Drumpf doesn't seem to get hurt – in the polls – by doing the most stupid things again and again, nor do he or his voters seem capable of learning from his mistakes. Republican voters continue to believe what their candidate tells them, about rigged press and elections for example, as Sam deftly showed with the footage on McCain's allegations in 2008. No matter how many investigations are carried out that disprove any allegation the Republicans have come up with these past eight years or more (election fraud, Benghazi, Clinton e-mails) their voters still believe them.

All this was so infuriating that I nearly forgot to laugh. But Sam Bee got me ROTFLMAO again with Hillary managing to " beat this dick waving Berlusconi knock-off like a little bitch. " Thanks Sam. And thanks, TomCat, for posting.

  8. Thanks all!  Busy Hugs!
