Prior to the election of 2012, Karl Rove was confident of a Republican victory and kept claiming that he had "the math" As election wound down, and the GOP loss in Ohio pushed Obama over the top, Rove refused to accept the results. Later we learned why. Anonymous hackers claimed to have blocked Rove’s attempt to steal the election by flipping votes in three swing states. This year may bring more Republican attempts to steal our election with help from people far more competent than Rove.
The Senate minority leader, Harry Reid of Nevada, asked the F.B.I. on Monday to investigate evidence suggesting that Russia may try to manipulate voting results in November.
In a letter to the F.B.I. director, James B. Comey Jr., Mr. Reid wrote that the threat of Russian interference “is more extensive than is widely known and may include the intent to falsify official election results.” Recent classified briefings from senior intelligence officials, Mr. Reid said in an interview, have left him fearful that President Vladimir V. Putin’s “goal is tampering with this election.”
News reports on Monday said the F.B.I. warned state election officials several weeks ago that foreign hackers had exported voter registration data from computer systems in at least one state, and had pierced the systems of a second one…

I looked at that map and said, "Wait a minute – Colorado now has all mail balloting like Oregon (and Washington) – how can there not be a paper trail?" I went to Verified Voting Foundation, where that graph is from, and saw that the 2016 map doesn't look much like that map. https://www.verifiedvoting.org/verifier/ Of course it's not showing exactly the same information – it's actually showing more information. Before jumping all over my Secretary of State, I would check the current one. I agree, it's too important to not get it right.

Andrea has thoroughly explained that this is critical and a major threat to Hillary because … well, I’m not really sure why. But she did take the opportunity to remind us that Bill had a consensual affair with another adult TWENTY YEARS ago, so there’s that.

We have the paper ballot that is scanned by computer. This really make me MAD AS HELL and I want to watch the counting! Rump Dump Drumpf is gonna scream like hell either way!!! Cenk is right! Damned if we do, damned if we DON'T!!! I don't know WHAT can be done at this point in the ELECTION. Surely they have thought of this BEFORE NOW!!! Security for the counting of the votes SHOULD have been taken care of BEFORE THIS!!!

It is scary to think that a foreign government might have control, or at least some control, over an American election. If I recall, Republicans rigged the voting machines in some areas and Anonymous took credit for undoing it. Rove looked like an idiot calling some results that actually didn't happen. I also recall a programmer that was contracted by Florida Republicans to "fix" some machines so that they would tilt to the Republicans. So if it isn't Republicans, it's Russians. The voting system has to be secured against hacking from anywhere!

This is really disturbing news and Cenk Uygur as absolutely right when he claims that Drumpf will use it to his advantage whichever way this pans out. And it's beyond ironic that the GOP, which has done everything to keep Democratic voters from voting in many states with voter-ID laws they say are necessary to minimize (non-existent) voter fraud, now may end up with a candidate even they don't like getting his foot in the door of the White House with the help of Russian hackers linked to Russian Intelligence Services.
Kentucky has the touch screen and no paper. I have felt uncomfortable with this since it started. Now, even more so. I know we are not a swing state, but our votes count, too. I shared this. Putin would love for Trump to win..

Be aware that Clear Channel, Romney's company, provides maty of the electronic voting machines! The "Paperless world" is not a good place for elections!
Even though Rove's behavior on election night made sense only after his complicity was revealed, knowing it, and proving it are two different things. The people who could prove it, were Anonymous, and therefore anonymous.
