Almost every week, Republicans join a competition to see who can say the most outlandish things, and in the process, they push the envelope on just how delusional InsaniTEA can become.  I trust that you will believe it, when I tell you that last week was no exception.

Newt must have thought he still had a shot.

NeuterNewtIn a way, we’re almost sad that the Newtster didn’t get the nod in Trump’s veepstakes this week. Think of the dumpster fire around which we’d all be warming our hands by now.

Gingrich did manage to use his brief moments of recent relevance to good effect, reminding us all how this atrocious idiot needs to be jettisoned to his rightful place on history’s dust heap ASAP. Still apparently auditioning for the job he did not get, Gingrich took to the airwaves before the dead in Nice had even been covered in sheets Thursday night, and called for thought policing Muslims in America. Because that’ll show the terorrists.

"Let me be as blunt and direct as I can be: Western civilization is in a war. We should frankly test every person here who is of a Muslim background, and if they believe in Sharia, they should be deported," Gingrich told Fox bobblehead Sean Hannity, who bobbled his head in whole-hearted agreement. "Sharia is incompatible with Western civilization. Modern Muslims who have given up Sharia, glad to have them as citizens. Perfectly happy to have them next door."

Seriously? Do these two idiot boxes really think that will work?

No less hysterically, Donald Trump confirmed that we are indeed at war, and that blaming innocent people fleeing actual war is the right way to go. "We’re dealing with people without uniforms … we are allowing people into our country — we have no idea where they are coming from. They have no paperwork, no documentation," Trump told buddy-boy Bill O’Reilly. "This may be the great Trojan Horse of all time."

This is the calm (but tiny) hand that wants to steer our ship of state.

By Friday Gingrich was acknowledging his idea was a little unrealistic and a little unconstitutional, and tried to assuage the fears of Muslims, saying, "This is not about targeting a particular religion or targeting people who practice in a particular way."

Huh, really? Sure sounded like it

Newt hasn’t lost a step, spewing hatred on cue, but otherwise, he would have never had a chance.  This is the first of five delusional Republican moments listed from Last week alone.  Click through for the other four.

  1. 1.  I wish there were a way to get it through right wing heads that sharia is exactly the same thing that they want to institute by "making America a Christian nation."  Frankly, I doubt the capacity of their heads to hold the information.  But how could it hurt if every time they propose or defend one of these things we respond with one voice "Oh, I see – you mean Christian Sharia."?

    2.  I doubt whether Pence was in any way Drumpf's choice.  I think he was Charles's and David's choice.  They believe his being a born and bred Midwesterner will shore up the ticket (and he was the only one who didn't turn it down).  Sadly, they may be correect.  VOTE BLUE !!!!!

    3.  Milkshake buddy?  They can get that crazy on milkshakes?  What is in those milkshakes?

    4.  Oh, Megyn, Megyn, it's dangerous to invite someone on who is clearly more knowledgeable than you are, and who can't be intimidated from speaking the truth.  I'll bet it'll be a while before THAT happens again.

    5.  Hah.  "the 90's and Bill Clinton" pales in comparison to "the fifties and Eisenhower."  But if it was good enough to sucker punch Varney, I guess it was just fine.

    • Your point about Christian Sharia is on target.  I have referred to just thiskind of thing in the response section of numerous petitions, over the last years.

  2. Yea, at least they are all consistent with their hatred, lies, and bigotry. Unreal.!!!

    Thanks, Tom, for posting.

  3. Too bad Newt and Drumpf were not both neutered a loooong time ago!

Unfortunately, those two fit the mindset of those who have been brainwashed by Faux news and other right wing media into believing all Muslims are terrorists.

  4. 1.  AMEN JD!!  The US was not created as a Christian nation, yet the right wing pseudo Christians would transform it into a pseudo Christian theocracy.  How many right wing politicians have we heard that call for laws based on biblical law, on laws from the Hebrew Scriptures?  That is no different than the idea of Islamic Sharia law.  Further more, how many right wingers would actually abide by those laws?  I venture to say very few.

    2.  Pence is an idiot, almost as big an idiot as Drumpf!  In one article I read, it was supposed that Drumpf delayed his VP announcement because he was having second thoughts about Pence, although Drumpf refused to confirm it.  We already know that Drumpf is a serial liar, so why should we believe him now.

    3.  It is all about Drumpf.  Everything is about him.  He can no more relate to African Americans and their struggles than a dental patient can to singing an aria during an extraction.

    4.  Megyn Kelly . . . one of Faux's blonde bimbos!

    5.  Let him spit!  Varney should be deported back to the UK so he could be with Boris.  Mind, I don't think the Brits want him back!

    • I couldn't sing an aria during an extraction (or really at all any more), but I could relate to the dentist singing one, like, for instance, "Deh vieni alla finestra" (Reader's Digest translation: "Come out!")

  5. 1. Newt points at innocent Muslims living (and even born) in America and says: "…test every person here who is of a Muslim background, and if they believe in Sharia, they should be deported," and then maintains the next day "This is not about targeting a particular religion or targeting people who practice in a particular way." Which only goes to show that Drumpf and his crew still think Muslims are as stupid as those in his current horde, but that they've given up on the idea that they'll get their votes in November.

    2. As if a Drumpf slobbering all over himself when telling the world how terrific he is, isn't bad enough. Now we have another doormat's voice  joining in the delusional choir. Newt and PIGnocchio (would) have sung his praises well, but with the new Republican sharia … uhm platform the party has come up with, Pence had to be his man as this platform is right up Pence's alley. For once Drumpf listened to his advisors.

    3. “I can relate it really very much to myself,”  Yeah, and that's the ONLY thing he can.

    4. Megyn Kelly was her usual self but D. L. Hughley rebuttal was bloody marvelous! Is there a video of this somewhere?

    5. Faux News/Business'  hosts sure know how to pick their guests this week. First Kelly made a fool of herself with Hughly, and now Stuart Varney gets told off by Caroline Heldman. And all they know how to respond is ranting and raving. Since Fox is the propaganda machine for the GOP it seems very fitting they go down with the party and die the same agonizing death by a thousand, mostly self-inflicted, cuts

  6. Newt was/is toxic for America; his "Contract With America," was a "Contract On America!"  He was one of those bright lights who "knew" a generation ago, that there was no such thing as "Acid Rain," until lakes began to die! and, I expect, that denial was also paid for by the Koch boys.

The Theocratic urge in Christian America is blind to the rest of the world, and possible consequences also do not enter the mindset of those who wish for it.  Their deluded point of view is that since they are doing God's work, it has to work out just fine.  Rabid insanity!

I have read that the Republican pundits believed that the field of 16 was "very deep." In what, horse shit?  Like Dr.

Ben even knew what continent he stood on?  So, Rumpy beat out the "deep" ones..by not playing according to the rules (just like Hitler), and now he's picked a VP whose ideas, and policies Alfred E. Newman would worry about!

Rumpy can relate anything to himself, because, in his world view, he is all that there is.  Is this bloody crazy?

Faux News, and its inhabitants, are in their very own alternate universe, called…the psycho ward!

  7. Thanks all!!  Hugs!!  Way pooped!!
