Almost every week, Republicans join a competition to see who can say the most outlandish things, and in the process, they push the envelope on just how insane InsaniTEA can become. I trust that you will believe it, when I tell you that last week was no exception.
Good Christian Republican senator just has a teeny tiny request for God.
Boy, those evangelicals sure do know how to have a good yuck-fest, with biblical jokes and everything! But we’re pretty sure Jesus Christ would not have been amused by the prayer offered by Republican Senator Frank Perdue, who made a hilarious joke about Obama at this week’s Faith & Freedom Coalition’s Road to Majority conference.
“I think we are called to pray,” the junior senator from Georgia told those who were gathered. “I think we are called to pray for our country, our leaders, and yes, even Barack Obama."
Specifically, he suggested, “we should pray like Psalms 108:9 [sic] says. It says ‘May his days be few.’"
Oh, titter, titter, chuckle, chuckle went the crowd.
Yes, it is the Christian thing, to pray for the death of a president whose politics you don’t like.
The cited psalm goes:
Let his days be few; Let another take his office.
Let his children be fatherless And his wife a widow.
Let his children wander about and beg; And let them seek sustenance far from their ruined homes.
Let the creditor seize all that he has, And let strangers plunder the product of his labor.Yes, Republicans have plunder in mind.
From <Alternet>
The author made a typo in the verse. It’s actually 109:8
Barf Bag Alert!!
This pseudo-Christian purveyor of hatred is only the second of five listed insane Republican moments from last week alone. Click through for the other four.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
1. I'm afraid Stacey Dash leaves me speechless.
2. Yes. Fortunately Faithful America is here to call real Christians together to call him out. I won't go into the actual point of the Psalm (there is one, though.)
3. Can you say "pro-jec-tion"?
4. Or he could have said, "Neener, neener, neener," and made just as much sense.
5. Well, will wonders never cease.
6. I said earlier that if this one didn't exist I would simply have to add it, so here it is – http://www.rightwingwatch.org/content/james-dobson-trans-inclusive-bathroom-policies-violate-levitical-prohibition-prostituting-yo
Dateline: Thurday, 6/9/16, 11:56+ a.m.
James Dobson, fonder and former leader of Focus on the Family says Trans-inclusive bathroom policies violate a prohibition in Leviticus against prostituting your daughter.
Yup. He said that.
Incidentally, the number of that Psalm varies depending on what translation is being used. It could be 108 in his version – and it MIGHT even be verse 8.
Well, I just want to thank Meg Whitman for proving the "Stopped Clock Rule"
I went to the RightWingWatch article, Joanne, but I shouldn't have. I was pretty disgusted with Alternet's five Republican insanities and this one pushed me over my limit. I've had enough and it's only the start of the week for me here. I think I need a break from American politics.
Oh, Lona, I'm so sorry. I only gave the link in case someone didn't believe me. I didn't mean to make you ill!
5. Meg is best known for her self funded failed GOP race for governor by a landslide…she made this statement and .then said she was inclined to support Clinton a day or so afterwards (like so many GOP conservatives who recognize one of their own masquerading as something else).
Oh yeah–Meg got her mentorship from Mitt Romney.
That low blow is divisive, when Bernie is moving toward unity,
Stacey Dash: Whaa???……
Perdue is, well ALL of them, are sick, mean, and hateful. Good representation of the GOP, right?
Trump: Ick!! He's such a cad.Or fill in this blank with your own word(s). _______.
Meg Whitman: For once, a good comparison.
Thanks,Tom.
Herr "Don the Con" Drumpf wants to correct your cartoon.
That verse is actually from "Two" Republiconnians …
ROTFLMAO!
What JD said!
KOS:
1. Stacey Dash; huh… who… what… a plan to woo black voters for Drumpf. definitely clueless.
2. Sen. Perdue: Another hateful, fake "Christian" GOP'er racist. Perdue's days should be numbered and soon.
3. Jeffrey Lord: Another misguided & ill-informed surrogate fibber in his lame attempt to change history.
4. Drumpf: Losing the tweet battle badly, very badly. lol.
5. Meg Whitman; Meg may be the CEO of HP but she still lost her election and was defeated by Jerry Brown in the 2010 California gubernatorial election. Her own voting record is acutely dismal. The Sacramento Bee reported that Whitman did not vote for 28 years. Meg Whitman is emerging as the GOP’s most effective anti-Trump voice. http://www.recode.net/2016/6/12/11909696/meg-whiman-anti-trump-gop This billionaire has the money to burn.
.
I just can't waste my time reading the hateful words of the RepukkklicanTs! I am so sick of hearing this crap, I could just take a dump on my computer!
I like the cartoon! It is hilariously true! I guess. Maybe TOO true!
Alternet: Perdue, like many Faux Christians may have a thing or two to answer for in the hereafter. What a disgusting person! Can Stacey Dash have serious emotional and mental issues? I can see no other reason for ablack woman to utter this nonsense. Jeffery Lord is among several reasons I no longer watch CNN. Trump's wit is as wonderful as his intellignence, lacking. Whitman will say she "misspoke".
1. Stacey Dash: She's Drumpfed to the hilt, isn't she. She talks the talk with "Money makes the world go round", so that'll work on black people too, and walks the walk with insane "strategic" hot-air plans, apparently based on military tactics in Afghanistan. I thought Drumpf had said he wasn't going to eat any more Oreos? Probably flip-flopped on that too. Now we can only hope she joins Drumpf when he "gets before these people in the inner cities, and let them know that he cares.”
2. Frank Perdue: I'm sure it's a very safe bet to say that this "senator" will be one of the first (after Drumpf) to condemn Islam for being a religion of violence after the shooting in Orlando, and that all imams incite to violence in the mosques across the country and should be thrown out along with their flock. I'm disgusted by Perdue and disgusted by the Republicans at this Faith & Freedom Coalition’s Road to Majority who giggled at his "joke". I better stop before I start to rant.
3. Jeffrey Lord: Are we really going to spend some time discussing someone who is certifiably insane? CNN should do themselves a favor and fire him. They can break open that contract easily; as I sad the man is certifiably insane and should be committed to an institution.
4. Drumpf: ROTFLMAO When you posted Elizabeth Warren's video tearing into Drumpf and his "university" last week, TomCat, I commented that he could probably only come up with some name-calling like Pocahontas. And now he did. How low and pathetic can a person get? Sigh, I'm afraid the bottom of Drumpf's barrel is not in sight yet and we have five more months to go…
5. Meg Whitman: Oh Oh, someone's money is not going to make the Republican world go round much longer.
What comes to mind here is an old Irish "blessing" – May those who love us, love us; and those who don't love us, may God turn their hearts. If he can't turn their hearts, may he turn their ankles so we'll know them by their limping.
Thanks all!! Hugs!! I betabuck that Meg is goose stepping by convention-time.
OMG!!! What a load of crap!
1) Stacey Dash is delusional and totally unintelligent. Reality is not part of her lexicon.
2) "Psalm 109:8 (NIV) May his days be few; may another take his place of leadership." — I believe that Republican Senator Frank Perdue was referring to Drumpf! Interesting fact — "perdue" is French for 'lost' and although it has an 'e' on the end, it is likely the originwithin of the senator's name. It certainly is applicable — he is lost in a sea of useless Republicans.
3) "Racism did not exist until the left made it up and they are its sole practitioners." Jeffery Lord, yet another delusional and totally unintelligent Republican propangandist. Racism and fear are definitely the tools of the right wing.
4) Anyone who expects Drumpf to apologise for anything has absolutely no understanding of the worm! In his mind, an anapology of any kind makes him look less powerful.
5) Meg Whitman — Hmmm! Another HP alumnus! Good to see that even a mega donor Republican can see the comparison of Drumpf and Hitler and Mussolini.
