From Bloomberg: House Speaker Paul Ryan has begun telling confidants that he wants to end his standoff with Donald Trump in part because he’s worried the split has sharpened divisions in the Republican Party, according to two people close to the lawmaker.
Ryan aides say nothing has been decided about a possible Trump endorsement. But Trump’s campaign manager, Paul Manafort, told a small group of Republican lawmakers Thursday that he expects Ryan to endorse the party’s nominee as early as this week, according to two people in the meeting.
If Ryan were to endorse Trump, the move would end a nearly unprecedented standoff between the House speaker and his party’s presumptive presidential nominee, and remove the biggest remaining obstacle to Trump’s efforts to unite Republicans around his campaign.
What can I say? Lyin’ Ryan and Rump Dump are a match made in hell.

DKos – The first one at least was before they were married, and the second one is so famous – I think it was too. Of course, she is (was) a professional model, so that was just a gig to her. But juxtaposing it with Michelle Obama's vare arms does show the hypocrisy brilliantly (I'll bet what they REALLY didn't like about Michelle's arms was their color.)

YouTube – I read about the platform committee, and was happy it seems to have gone down peacefully, and was VERY surprised and pleased to see that Elijah Cummings was one of Hillary's picks and Barbara Lee was one of Debbie's. You might consider them extra picks for Bernie.

Hello All, I have been scarce. As well as having been sick, my computer died. My wonderful nephew gave it CPR and it is going again.It is 10 years old, so how long it will keep going remains to be seen. Got an I pad, but have not yet mastered it. Now I will play catch up.

DK: It seems only fitting that the party who's members let themselves be bought by the 1% and big corporations is represented by a man who's bought all his gold-digger wives and trades them in for a younger model every couple of years. Drumpf and this latest wife aspiring to become president and first lady is only a preview of what America will look like when it is "great again". I'm starting to hope that Drumpf will bring full isolationism to fruition as he promises to do as president so it won't spread any further, but like most of his promises he's probably forgotten all about that by now.
But I'm far more worried by Drumpf's family values as depicted in the many pictures doing the rounds where his daughter is always sitting on his lap and him telling everyone how she's so hot he'd like to date her himself. Also very classy, in some circles, I guess and an excellent example for American fathers and daughters, right?
