I’m getting another late start today. Julie came, sprayed and buffed me, and did some light cleaning. My ISP was down for a bit. I’m ready for a Lona nap, but I don’t get to take one yet as Store to Door is coming with a big grocery order. Here’s something I have hot said in a very long time. Tomorrow is a prison volunteer day. I’ll be leaving mid-afternoon, and returning late night. I haven’t5 seen my guys in over six months, and I can’t wait!! I will probably have articles tomorrow, but not Friday. Store to Door just lost about 1/3 of my grocery order, so I just have no more time to spend in research. This is today’s only article.

Hillary increased her lead by 58 delegates. At this point I see no feasible way for Bernie to win.
From Daily Kos: Thanks to Sanders to taking a first step on the path to helping to the Democratic Party unite and win this November!
“The people in every state in this country should have the right to determine who they want as President and what the agenda of the Democratic Party should be. That’s why we are in this race until the last vote is cast. That is why this campaign is going to the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia with as many delegates as possible to fight for a progressive party platform that calls for $15 an hour minimum wage, an end to our disastrous trade policies, a Medicare-for-all health care system, breaking up Wall Street, financial institutions, ending fracking in our country, making public colleges and universities tuition free and passing a carbon tax so we can effectively address the planetary crisis of climate change.”
According to MSNBC, for the first time I have ever heard, he sent out a message congratulating Hillary Clinton on her victories tonight.
Kudos to Bernie and his campaign. I think they realize that they can’t win. so to begin the healing process, they are changing their focus from the nomination to the platform.
From Alternet: Stephen Colbert got down with some bathroom humor on Tuesday night’s show.
“Here’s the thing,” he said. “I don’t care if you’re male or female, what sex or gender identity someone is, I—and I mean this sincerely—do not want to share a bathroom with anyone. For two reasons: No. 1—and No. 2.”
Of course, he was not there to make sophomoric poop jokes; his target was the ridiculous and hateful political posturing around who gets to use which bathroom with whom.
Does he know how to pick a weirdo. or what?

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
4:28 exactly. Pretty.
Just a wild guess – I'll bet you are not the only person in Oregon who can't wait for tomorrow! Congratulations, felicitation, enjoy every tiniest moment, and we promise not to worry about any silence.
RCP – Yesterday was indeed disappointing. But, on the one hand, it would be foolish to wait until the last minute to start tweaking strategy – since as he's said all along, it's not about him, it's about us. On the other hand, it is heartening to see the comment that he looks forward to principled races in the 14 primaries remaining. There are many reasons why he should not drop out until all states have been heard from.
AlterNet – Looks like he can pick not just a weirdo, but whole groups of weirdos.
Cartoon – Gee, I was under the impression they DID want him back, because when he left, he took tourism (and associated livelihoods) with him.
Speaking of picking weirdos, Cruz just picked Carly as his VP…
May your time with your guys be all you hope it will be.
FYI-I heard from Dotti today–her health issues still minimize how much time she can spend on-line, so I continue praying for her.
Thanks for the Dotti update.
It's time to heal the Democratic party and get ready for November! I voted for Bernie. But I see that there is NO WAY that he is going to win the nomination. Now is the time for get the things that we AGREE on and get those out in front!!! We CANNOT let HumptyDrumpf get in the White House!!! Let's ALL Kum-by-ya around the ONE that is going to win and start backing HER, because ALL they other choices are SUICIDAL!!! I love Bernie! He is a GREAT candidate, would make a FANTASTIC PRESIDENT, but, we gotta play by the rules and get someone in there with our core values at heart!!!
Stephen was GLORIOUS in his explanation of the IDIOTS in N. Carolina! They are crazy! Why is it that the party of "don't talk about sex, don't have sx, and for sure, DONT ENJOY IT" so obsessed with the places that ANYONE goes to the bathroom!?!?
Well, I made it thru the storm's last night unscathed, believe it or not! We had spin-up tornadoes all around us, but we made it!
Take care of yourself and George, TC! I am ecstatic that you will be getting to back and see your guys!!! I bet that put some pep in your step!!! Kudos to you for being such an awesome, amazing person with your guys!!! People like you are helping people like them more than you will EVER know!!! Thanks again, TC!!!
Amen!
And whether you feel the "Kum-ba-ya" spirit or not – just be sure to VOTE BLUE!
Amen!
TRhe reasons Republicans are so fixated on bathroom perversion, is that whenever there are real examples, the perpetrators are virtually always Republicans.
DK: He's such a gentleman for saying this to HRC. He's still a winner all the way around in my book.
AlterNet: He's so funny! Totally on board w/what he said too!
Cartoon: Gee, thanks, Tom…LOL.!!
Wonderful news about getting w/your guys! I know that you're excited about that, and I'm happy for you!! I know you w/enjoy your day. And…a happy tired when you get back too. Enjoy your evening, and take care. Thanks, Tom.
I am so happy for you that you get a chance to visit your guys. I hope all goes well.
Real Clear Politics: It seems apparent that Hillary will be the winner.
Daily Kos: Good for Bernie, showing class all the way. If nothing else comes from his candidacy, he has forced Clinton to be somewhat more progressive.
Alternet: Colbert speaks so truthfully, with so much humor. I don't like public bathrooms, being a germaphobe, and too many people don't flush, don't wash their hands, etc. Fact is, if you travel at all, you have to use them. I don't care if they are transgender, so long as they wash their hands. The Republican obsession with sexuality is getting ridiculous. Especially since the nightly news was full of vidoe of Dennis Hastert, one of their heroes, leaving the court house in shame for molesting children.
Cartoon: I wish they had kept him there before he helped almost destroy our country.
TC: Enjoy being with your group.
Real Clear Politics: Look like Hillary has the count for the nomination. But, the fight is not over until the last state weighs in.
KOS: Bernie is advocating for a progressive platform to the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia. Bernie is right in his advocacy and we should support his ideas in the platform. We need his ideas.
AlterNet: The bathroom issue is just palin crazy. The real worry should be who are going to be the policemen in watching who goes into the bathrooms in schools – the pedophiles?
Cartoon: The good people of Crawford, TX should move their village idiot to the Hague.
Breaking News per Rachel Maddow: Ted Cruz has chosen Carly Fiorina as his Vice Presidential running mate. My reaction: Ugh to the pair of losers!

.
An exciting day tomorrow! Enjoy the time with your guys!
Puzzle — 2:58 No chasing the dragonfly Puddy Tat!
RCP — It's not over til it's finished! It is disappointing that Bernie did not do well but from what I saw, he did not expect a big bust out because they were all closed primaries. Keep on truckin' Bernie!
Daily Kos — "I think they realize that they can’t win. so to begin the healing process, they are changing their focus from the nomination to the platform." — I agree. It will be interesting however at the convention in July. I hope Bernie supporters do not abandon the party in November. If Bernie can prevail to bring the party further left, perhaps more of his supporters will stick around in November.
Alternet — Conservatives are so great at dictating building regulations in abortion clinics, why don't they try dictating construction of public bathrooms — stalls only with floor to ceiling walls and doors, and no urinals. That gets rid of the lookey-loo factor. People aren't going to spend their vacation in the bathroom.
Cartoon — Perhaps The Hague should say "We'll take him!"
What wonderful news, TomCat! You must be so thrilled to see your guys again after 6 months. I'm so glad things have been resolved enough, around the 'health issues" they came up with last tim, for you to meet with them again. And your friend will be driving you to Salem too, with your chair in the back of the car, so you won't have to stay overnight again. Have a fabulous day tomorrow. I'm sure you'll be exhausted when you come back, so please forget about the articles Friday. Just let us know how it went.
RCP: This, however, is bad news for Bernie and his supporters.
DK: But he's continuing to fight to bring about the changes the country so desperately needs, even – or should I say 'especially' after the elections in November. Kudos to Bernie and everyone around him for being so wonderfully gracious, accepting to have lost the bid for the nomination and putting the good of the country above their own interests. They are excellent role models for Social Democrats.
Alternet: The whole "public bathroom" discussion keeps amazing me as it is so obviously done from a male perspective only. I've seen quite a few public bathrooms all over the world in my life time and although it must have been the tiniest fraction of a percentage of all female or non-gender bathrooms in the world, I can assure you I've never come across one that didn't have closed cubicles and absolutely none that I needed to share with someone else, ever. And I've never come across women undressing in the washrooms either. It must be the feverish and weird imagination of Republican males that would have men dress up in women clothes to enter a cubicle, stand up on the rim of the toilet and take a peek – from the top – at the woman seated on the toilet in the next cubicle to get a flash of what exactly? Unless he also takes a drill with him, there would be little to see and the woman would be sure to notice him peeking over the screen above her. It must have something to do with their own sexual fantasies and would explain why they never talk about male transgenders wanting to have a peek at their nether regions in the urinals. Not that female transgenders would want to peek at other women either. As Stephen Colbert said so aptly said of these Republican legislators: "You're the weirdo".
Cartoon: Crawford is in Texas, you know. Of course they want their village idiot back. Only in Texas…
I's seen mens rooms with twp or three urinals and open thrones. Once whilwe is was at a urinal, a drunk woman staggereds in and knelt to worship at one of the open thrones.
Thanks all! Hugs!! It won't be long now!!
Bernie is a class act all the way.
