Well, there will be no full-fledged, formal “Friday Fun” – and that’s because I’m scheduled to meet with my tax guy today. And even though I’ve been working hard, I’m running late – and he thinks I’ve been making excuses and has gotten so impatient with my delays …
To the point that now I’ve had to reschedule and meet with the Junior partner – who also is rather impatient with me …
And yet early every morning I start the day with the best intentions of getting them done …
But I could always see the storm clouds forming …
And facing all that paperwork only served to make me angrier in trying to finish them up …
Frustrated? I’m pretty much ready to throw in the towel and surrender to the IRS …
So I can FINALLY get to do my happy dance …

Cross posted to Care2 at http://www.care2.com/news/member/101612212/3972626 Sorry to take so long, but even sorrier you need to go through such suffering.
I made myself an excel spreadsheet for my taxes, where I enter related info. as it happens, so my efforts this time of year are mostly just double checking some stuff against the paper trail….before that it was like pulling teeth so I can empathize.
oops–misplaced LOL…thanks for cross-posting Joanne
I don't know why taxes puts me in a bad mood, but I'm like the car salesman slamming the books down.
I sympathize with you, I know your pain. Good luck!!
Thanks, Joanne!
The slamming of his binder on the desk was Jerry Lundegaard (William H. Macy) the auto dealership guy in the movie "Fargo"
We don't call them Infernal Revenue for nothing!!
Love the graphics. I think we all hate tax time!
Graphics well put together!
I don't mind paying for my fair share of taxes for water, public schools, fire, police, roads and highways and so forth. We are more of a socialistic country when we all pay for services which, at times, take for granted.
What I do mind is that large corporations that do not pay their fair share of taxes. In some cases, some of those corporations get a refund from the government.
I do not like the idea of paying for endless wars which have been fought for the past few decades. Only the people enjoying doing this endless wars are the war profiteers and its corporate ilk. I would like to see a 50% reduction of the military budget, and end wasteful programs.
Our country needs, now, more than ever, is a rebuilding of our country's infrastructures. That is where out taxes should be going. One other idea is to go after the tax dodgers who deposited (hide) their monies in tax havens, shelters (Panama Papers) in other countries be barred from doing business in USA. Or joining up with other companies in foreign countries to avoid paying their fair share of taxes. If you live and do business in USA, pay your fair share of taxes.
If you do business in USA, those corporations should pay their fair share of taxes. We do need to get rid of lawyers who help devise tax loopholes out of the IRS tax division. We also need to get rid of those congresscritters who support big business out of congress, e.g.: Bought Bitch Mitch McConnell.

Thanks Nameless, that was a very humorous look on doing taxes. Putting this together was more fun than the dreaded task itself, I think.
