Except for chores that I’m trying to make routine, and a huge backlog of paperwork, it looks like I have a relatively light week ahead, and that means, barring the unexpected, I’ll have time to write, most days.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 6:32 (average 8:31).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Tales:

From Media Matters: Donald Trump’s presidential campaign gave press credentials to the white nationalist radio program The Political Cesspool, which says it will soon air an interview with Donald Trump Jr. National civil rights groups have criticized the program for supporting anti-Semites, Holocaust deniers, and white supremacists like David Duke. The show openly states on its website that it’s a "pro-White" program that wishes "to revive the White birthrate above replacement level fertility." It is hosted by white nationalist James Edwards, who has claimed that Martin Luther King Jr.’s "dream is our nightmare," "interracial sex is white genocide," and "slavery is the greatest thing that ever happened to" African-Americans.

The reason the Republican Establishment fear Hateful Hairball so much is that he proclaims openly the hatred they imply, dog whistle to promote, and finally deny to escape their just culpability for the violence they inspire.

Despite Bernie’s two wins last night, Hillary increased her lead.

From Crooks and Liars: The Donald" got the treatment he deserved in this parody from this weekend’s Saturday Night Live mocking the support he’s gotten from the likes of the likes of the Klan, neo-Nazis and white supremacists that he’s been cozying up to since he launched his presidential campaign:

LMAO!!  Both funny and totally accurate!!

  1. 6:49  Well, that seemed like it took forever – and it did – but I see I'm not alone in that.

Media Matters – These people were always around, but they were hiding under rocks.  The (to them) appalling spectacle of a BLACK President who was obviously a better person than they are brought them out in droves.  I'm not sure why; there have been Jews visible who are obviously better than they are for a long time (a guy named Jesus leaps to mind – although they have done their best to bring him down to their level).

Real Clear Politics – He still has come farther than anyone expected – and all without PAC money and without any help from the "mainstream media."  I admit is distresses me that thpse two new states are red, but so is Louisiana.  It's not over till it's over, and it isn't yet.

Crooks&Liars – Oh, Lord (not Jeffrey).

Cartoon – So, so true, and has been – well, at least this century and the last.  That was Teddy's big flaw.

  2. Congratulations, you seem close to or already on top of the hill, TomCat. So good to hear you can spend more time on things that you love best, writing, and that you're on top of your learning curve too, making your chores more routine and easier to manage.

MM: Of course the Republican establishment is harvesting the storm from the sound and fury they have sown, and their wind was racist, bigoted, misogynistic and aggressive to start with. But this storm named Drumpf is out of their control, a rebel rouser of the worst kind, top of all classes given by Hitler, Mussolini and Franco. But as I've said before, Drumpf unlimited ego trip in search of even more extremist voters may have a positive side to it as well as it confronts the average Republican voter who can still think a little for himself with what the party has become and what it stands for now. Some already have come to realize this is not who they are and may want to start working with Democrats or leave the party altogether

RCP: Sigh… it's not looking, is it.

C&L: Fantastic parody. Now if only Republicans would see it and realize it's not a parody but the truth for a great number of their brethren.

Cartoon: Some analysts here have already expressed their fear of the likes of diplomat/warmonger Drumpf being responsible for that red button. It's not a joke, the idea that Drumpf, the man with such thin skin that he bleeds when you look at him the wrong way, would be in charge of it America's atomic weapons as commander in chief has crossed many European's minds. One journalist said: "This man should never be allowed near a red button, ever."

  3. 4:56  I'd like to know how the person with the fastest time, 1:19, pulled that one off!

  4. Today's Maine results may erase the extended lead on delegates Clinton got yesterday and Pelosi has come out against superdelegates determining candidate if not for who got the voter support.

Biblically speaking, the GOP is reaping what they sowed…perhaps only they can vanquish this ugliness to return to beneath the ground again.

SNL is not afraid to tell it like it is.

  5. That fits HumptyTrump to a T!!! And they ARE the ones that support HIM!!!

  6. MM: It's a cluster. They are wringing their hands now.

C&L: Hilarious, but so, so, so, true!!!

Cartoon: Yep, that about sums it up!

Enjoy your day, I've been gardening all day, it's beautiful here! Take care, and Thanks, Tom.

  7. Trump's campaign and white nationalist radio makes sad sense, given his recent track record.

My son showed us the SNL clip this afternoon, sooo good!

Is that a mushroom cloud, or Trump's hair, and pants, on fire?

  8. Media Matters:  I had never heard of the Political Cesspool before,  but after reading the article it is clear they have the correct name.  I shared the article on Facebook, hoping some of my red friends would read it, and realize how vile Trump really is.

Real Clear Politics:  Clinton is clearly ahead, but Bernie has all ready received more votes than I expected and he has changed the conversation in the campaigns.  He wins either way, if he can get Clinton to be more progressive and less pragmatic.

Crooks and Liars:  I love SNL, they always get it right!

Cartoon:  Their solution for every issue!

  9. Puzzle — 4:56  I'd like to know how the person with the fastest time, 1:19, pulled that one off!

Media Matters — Political Cesspool?  Seems an apt name for the Republican Party!

Real Clear Politics — Keep pushing ahead Bernie!

Crooks and Liars — I would love to see this but it is not available for viewing in Canada.

    Cartoon — Republican anything!

  10. Thanks all!!  Hugs!!  Big Hurry!!
