Here are the results of our “Establishment or Wing-nut” poll.  Politics Plus Polls are not scientific, because those who respond are not balanced according to demographic categories.   Therefore, we do not accurately reflect the makeup of the US population.  Nevertheless, our polls are usually factually accurate, and more often than not, they reflect thinking or will of the national majority.

Since our polling site no longer enables us to copy and paste your poll comments, you may read them here.

I voted with the majority and my belief was confirmed. as the most establishment Republican Candidate, Strike Three, just trotted out the Terry Sciavo fiasco to prove his credentials to the rabid Republican base.

There is a new poll up, but please don’t vote until the Iowa results come in.  Then please vote.

  1. gave me a chance not to play fortune-teller so I said all are wing-nuts

  2. Eleven is a surprisingly large number who didn't realize that Republicans are all wingnuts.

Naeless, be careful, they are talking about changing the words – only slightly – but sometimes a small change is harder to remember than a major change.

  3. I voted with the majority, also! I'll be back after the Iowa caucuses are over.

  4. Well, the PBS post-caucus is over; the Dems results are still too close too call; the Rethugs came out Cruz 28, Trump 24, Rubio 23.  That's close enough for me to answer the poll "I had no clue" – which I could have admitted yesterday without knowing a thing.

Regardless who gets the Republican nod, I would still feel securer with a third party candidate running, and NOT Bloomberg.  I've actually beem hoping Trump would be that third party candidate, but he sounded awfully sweet tonight.  For Trump.. No insults.  So I knew nothing before Iowa, and now I know less.

  5. I voted for the majority and have not changed my mind.

  6. When the Iowa results were presented on our national news early this afternoon, some predictions were also given for the future Republican race. Nothing much was said about Trump, but for Cruz it was predicted that he would do less well in less pseudo-religious states, and the one to watch out for was Rubio. He apparently is on a slow rise and in the past those that are on the rise now have done well later on. This is just Dutch information I'm passing on, personally I don't have a clue about what the voting outcome in different states really means for the final outcome. I just hope Bernie wins, but expect Democrats to play it safe and go with Hillary.

  7. Thanks all!  Hugs!  Hurrying!
