Grief at the Heart of a Moral Movement (hanky warning)
A personal meditation for 2016.
By Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II
“In a violent and fragmented society, sometimes the grief is so deep that I cannot help responding as a father as well as a Christian pastor and a political leader. All of the children are our children, whether it is a baby shot amid a senseless crime in Chapel Hill or a child shot in two seconds by a trigger-happy cop in Cleveland.”

Dr. Barber's article needs a hanky warning. And well worth it. When a moral giant like Dr. Barber talks about prophetic grief, we had better listen And preferably listen to what he is actually saying, rather than to what we think he is (or should be) saying, which is how we treated Dr. King. A companion article (in my mind, which may tell you more about my mind than it does about anything else) which also needs a hanky warning, would be here.
Trees – I won't quote Mr. Kilmer, but anyone who wants to, feel free.
Warning added my compassionate astute friend!
Great job, Judi!
Those tree pics are stunning.
Thanks TC!
Great collection of tidbits again, Judi, the one on trees was especially captivating. Where would we be without them, yet we give them so little recognition. I won't be able to comment on video's for a little over a week, so I'll have to leave it at that.
Thanks Lona! I intentionally tried to keep videos to a minority knowing you couldn't access now.
