Let me begin by saying that I consider the majority of police officers to be dedicated professionals, who in no way deserve the pejorative term “pig”. I reserve that for officers, who have earned it. That is clearly true of Timothy Loehmann, the pig, who murdered Tamir Rice in cold blood. He also lied to the grand jury.
More than one year has passed since 12-year-old Tamir Rice was shot and killed while holding a toy gun, and prosecutors have yet to decide whether to charge the officer responsible. But on Thursday afternoon, the day after enhanced stills of the shooting were unveiled, the Cleveland Police Department released Officer Timothy Loehmann’s account of the fatal shooting.
According to Loehmann’s official police statement, the officer saw Rice “pick up an object and stick it down into his waistband.” When Loehmann and his partner Frank Garback drove up to the boy, Rice turned in their direction.
“The suspect had a gun, had been threatening others with the weapon and had not obeyed our command to show his hands,” Loehmann wrote. “He was facing us. This was an active shooter situation.” Loehmann alleges that both officers yelled for the boy to show his hands, but Rice did not comply. He claims he shot his firearm twice when he saw Rice pull out a gun from his waistband.
He also said that Rice “appeared to be over 18 years old and about 185 pounds.”
But an internal investigation found no proof that Loehmann yelled for Rice to show his hands before he deployed his weapon. It did confirm that Rice was shot two seconds after Loehmann exited his vehicle, which would have left little time to warn Rice…

You be the judge. Why hasn’t this Republican pig been charged with aggravated homicide?

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
Kind of offensive to pigs, highly intelligent, social and affectionate animals, to use their species name this way. But then I can't find any other zoological term that would be better. Even ebola viruses are higher on the evolutionary scale than this – individual.
One thing that catches my eye even without the full video is – A HUNDRED AND EIGHTY-FIVE POUNDS???!!1!1!!! Really??????????
Why doesn't Timothy Loehmann admit to being so spaced-out that he didn't know what he was seeing or doing: a 12 year old boy weighing 185 pounds?, looking more than 18 years old (20 they told the station)?, yelling at him to put his hands up and shooting him at the same time?, Tamir Rice reaching for a gun in his waistband?… If he had a few lines of coke before they drove up he could blame the additional adrenalin rush for his terribly wrong judgment of the situation and his bad recollection. Now it's just a bunch of lies fabricated by a shit-scared guy who should never have been allowed to join the force, after he shot a 12 year old boy with a toy gun.
But worst of all, prosecutors still cant decide to prosecute Loehmann. I give that a 5 barf bag rating.
As I recall, he had been let go from at least one other law enforcement agency before this and it was questioned how he ever got past the background check requirement, too. Seems to have parallels to the current case in Chicago where people are questioning police chief, chief prosector and mayor for their roles.
I know prosecutors don't like to charge cops, afraid for their own lives. But the D.A. & Internal Affairs have a Job to do – just Do It! I've noticed the Police UNIONS are becoming the scapegoat for bad pigs getting away with murder – the Unions better get behind the right sides in these cases & stop allowing themselves to be used (and for the inevitable Union busting RepubliCON blame game!)..:( Pigs were all the cops when I was a teen, because the "good" cops did not get rid of the BAD cops – I don't call them that any more (not since I had kids & didn't want them imitating my bad attitude), but I still feel the same way & they're still doing the same (or worse) things! They are Public Servants, whether they like it or not & they must Recognise the fact! They CAN be fired & they can be prosecuted (whether or not they're Unionized)!
When Loehmann lied to the grand jury, he tarnished his badge.
He should be held accountable for his lying, covering up, and be indicted for murder of this child.
If I'm the judge, Tamir had no time in which to raise his hands!
I'm from the "Cops are pigs" generation of young adults in the '60's, and I saw some very piggy behaviors from some of them at the time, in one march, or another. But, now, its gone way beyond that. Sadly, somehow, so many of them seem to believe it is just fine to blow away black people.
We are living in a nation where the BAD cops have a seige mentality and fire at anyone that is in a bad mood when they glance toward the cops. These people MUST be required to undergo full psych evals annually if they wish to retain employment! I do not wish to live in a nation where the police have such bad judgement AND ARE ARMED.
Thanks all. I did not intend to compare innocent pigs to Republican criminals. The term goes back to 1960s New York. The Tactical Patrol Force (TPF) was a police unit that specialized in injuring peace and civil rights demonstrators. We took TPF and called them Tasmanian Pig F*ckers. Over time it was shortened to Pigs.
Hugs!!
