Ending with a Petition from Karen Feridun: "This isn't your typical petition with the option to add a message. This is all about the message, your message to President Obama. I'll be heading to Paris for COP 21 in a few days. I'd like to take with me your messages to President Obama on fracking and climate change. I can't promise that I'll be able to use them all in actions while I'm there, but I'll do my best and will definitely make sure that they are delivered electronically to him and to PA Governor Wolf…."President Obama, I asked people to write messages on fracking and climate change they'd like me to bring to Paris. Here's what they wrote. "

I agree with Chelsea.
France must have Republicans too.
I'll be with them in spirit.
Most of our middle-eastern problems stem from our use of force to control oil.
Been there. Signed that.
Or, to paraphrase Chelsea – "Some wanted to exploit the World Trade Center and Pentagon attacks in order to justify seizures of power to meet their own political ends. We should never have let that happen." But we did. Of course, anyone who is pleased with what the results were will be only too eager to have it happen again.
Chelsea Manning is absolutely right of course, the power grabs after the Paris attacks and the attacks before it are so huge, it almost makes you want to buy into all the resulting conspiracy theories, because these reactions are so much alike and so well orchestrated. The political ends are all too clear, it's never one of compassion, allowing people in who seek shelter from the same terror we do, but always a further shift to the right, more xenophobia, more restrictions, less human rights, turning one group against another while the ones in power hold on tightly to the reins.
The ones in power are abusing it in Paris and turning the summit even more into a farce. The global fossil fuel companies are invited to sit at the table and give input to the though processes, something that was already decided upon before the Paris attacks. However, the attacks have led to a banning of al protests and gatherings, while the fossil fuel lobby remains at the table. How convenient is that? Millions of people have marched against Global Warming all over the world, but they aren't represented at the tables in Paris. In Paris there's just the deafening silence of their absence, their mouths gagged by way of activists put on house arrest. Documentaries like "Time to Choose" or the related "Racing Extinction"will never make it into the conference.
Hawaii: It was hard to understand why this particular SCOTUS would halt an election on Hawaii because it was unconstitutional and racially exclusive, having stood at the cradle of many such elections in other American states. But then the words "independence" popped up and things became more clear. Then the issue becomes very muddled and complex and it's very hard to determine who's to gain from this order, perhaps for SCOTUS too.
Abortion debate: If Americans think that only the media coverage of the PP shooting/abortion debate is giving them a bad rap abroad, think again.
The links show that EVERYONE is concerned bout climate change, to some point. If it is ENOUGH is the question. Not in my mind. If we don't do A LOT NOW, we are going to be in hot water AND hot weather!!! The earth can't take much more of the fossil fuel burning on the EARTH! She is not made to withstand this kind of ABUSE!!!
As far as the abortion debate goes, I do not, in my wildest dreams, think that anyone should be telling someone else how to take care of their body!!!!! It's your body!!! It's your business, not someone else's!!!!
