Thought it would be worthwhile to have a visual record of the show of solidarity with Paris and the people of France as demonstrated by iconic landmarks from around the world lit in the Tricolor.
They’re mostly in alphabetical order, either by location or name of monument …
Berlin – The Brandenburg Gate
Brazil – Christ the Redeemer
Calgary Tower
CN Tower in Toronto
Empire State Building
Las Vegas High Flyer Ferris Wheel
Lisbon Belém Tower
London National Portrait Gallery
London Trafalgar Square Vigil
London Trafalgar Square Fountain
London Eye
One World Trade Center
San Francisco City Hall
Shanghai Oriental Pearl TV Tower
Sydney Opera House
Washington Square NYC
Washington Square Heart
Switzerland – Eiffel Tower Peace

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
Why is it that the world only seems to unite in solidarity at times like this . . . times of heinous crimes against innocents?

The World in Solidarity for Paris is exemplified in photo diary…
Thank you!
Hugzzz…
These are absolutely gorgeous. I hope, Nameless, that you are not hurting yourself doing posts; as beatiful, touching, and important as the post is, you are still more important.
Lynn, the same reason one doesn't go to a funeral unless someone dies. Most of the time we don't see a need to express solidarity. That may sound cold, and like we are taking our friends for granted, but if we did displays like this all the time, what would we do when something really major happened?
Thank you, Lynn for these pictures.
Pat, this tribute to solidarity is from Nameless. He is the one with the profound eye.
thank you……we need to have world solidarity more often, not just after tragedy ….for a better future world
How appropriate! Thanks Nameless.
Thanks, Nameless for this moving tribute. I would like to add that Rotterdam had its iconic bridge lit in the tricolor this Saturday. I think there isn't a country in Europe that didn't have one or two cities lighting an iconic building in red, white and blue.
