I’m running quite late today, because I was dealing with extreme Republicitis. In spite of laxatives every day, I had not Republicated in over a week. They gave me a suppository, and I had to use the bedpan twice this morning. Fortunately the Republicans I produced were flushed quickly, because they were nasty enough to join the Clown Car. They will be putting me in the wheelchair in about thirty minutes, and I’ll eat lunch there. After that I’ll take a spin around the unit.
Short Takes:
From Daily Kos: On Tuesday night, Fox Business will host the next debate between the 2016 GOP presidential contenders. All involved are hoping to avoid a repeat of the last such event, the CNBC fiasco which left the moderators embarrassed and the campaigns whining. But while the Republicans have been fretting about the debate format, questions, opening and closing statements, bathroom breaks and even the room temperature, the GOP White House wannabees have a much bigger problem. As a spate of recent analyses once again confirmed, the U.S. economy almost always does better under Democratic presidents.
Going back to Herbert Hoover, the economy grew faster, job creation accelerated, incomes expanded and stock prices jumped higher when a Democrat sat in the Oval Office. And as the New Democrat Network documented last month, the last four presidencies are no exception…
The only people who do well under a Republican Reich are Banksters and the 1%.
From The New Yorker: In a potential stumbling block for his Presidential ambitions, a new study indicates that the average American can stand only four seconds of exposure to Senator Ted Cruz, the Texas Republican.
The study, conducted by University of Minnesota researchers during Tuesday night’s Republican debate, required subjects to be connected to electrodes to measure their tolerance for the senator.
Within four seconds of watching Cruz, the majority of participants begged to be released from the experiment, researchers reported.
I think Andy is exaggerating. Four seconds is way too long to tolerate Uranus Inspector.
From Alternet: Fox Business hosted the fourth Republican presidential debate on Tuesday. Unlike its sister network Fox News, many are unfamiliar with the low-rated Fox Business. But Media Matters has been watching since the network’s debut in 2007.
Here are 35 of the worst things to appear on the “business” network.
1. Fox Business Promoted Obama Birth Certificate Conspiracy Theory: “Photoshopped”
Barf Bag Alert!!
Click through, and take a truckload of barf bags with you. There are thirty four more like this.

Waterboarding was one of his crimes punishable by the death penalty.

Thanks for the Care 2 link.
Isn't Cheney as deserving as Tojo?
I haven't been to the store to replenish my barf bags, so I'll avoid clicking through at this time.
4 seconds can be an eternity.
Yah use a failed economic theory again and again and still expect different results? Isn't that one definition of stoopid?
TMI on GOP relief IMO…sounds as if you are becoming a masterwheeler.
You betcha!
Amen on ChickenHawk!!
Read about Tojo in a great book about the Japanese preparation for WW2, in which their culture of the time was described as silently pushing their leaders to more and more extreme ideas about going to war, even as many of those leaders did not want it. It was somewhat a matter of keeping up appearances, not loosing face. I can not think of the name of the book, I'm sorry.
The difference with our extremists in our Teabag party, is that they seem to be looking forward, with glee, to the fruits of their idiocy!
If Republicasns establish a Reich, they will suuffer the same fate as Hitler's Brown Shirts.
DKos – Yes, Democrats being "better for business" is one of the things I learned at my mother's knee. But since the Republicans will never admit that, they will never consider analyzing why, and thus will never learn. Besides, they don't want "better for business." They want "better for plutocrats." And it isn't the same thing.
New Yorker – Four seconds was an average. Clearly there were a lot of masochists out there raising the average. While I was lowering it. One second is too much for me.
AlterNet – Media Matters. Motto (or should be) "We watch so you don't have to." Now there's a worthy cause.
Cartoon – But he was ASIAN. Bush and Cheney are WHITE. They might throw Condoleezza to the wolves, of course.
Sounds like you are getting the hang of the wheelchair, now! You will be ready for the ParaOlympics soon! I bet we could have a good race when you get out of the woods!!!
It's a fact, long known by Democrats, that job growth is MUCH, MUCH better under a Democratic President!!! The only thing that RepukkklicanTs can do is sink the economy and start never ending wars!!
I don't have the constitution to click thru for 34 MORE of those RepukkklicanTs bilgewater! There isn't enough barf bags in the world for me to watch that much Faux Spews InsaniTEA!!!
Hhope to see more of you from now on. I hope you are feeling BETTER!

I'm tryin to post this and it won't let me. I'll try again.
Oops. Double post. Sorry.
Worth saying twice.
You can write about book about your going's on in the unit. Your intro is the best!!!
Take care, TC!!
Can't stand to even see Cruz's picture. I think my brain has learned to automatically block it out now.
Fox Business was not easy to find. I tried to help my husband find it. It was not listed on the huge cheat sheet that the cable company had provided. He did manage to somehow find by clicking with the remote. Then later I was looking at facebook and noticed one of the neighbors was frantically looking for it. I was happy to be able to answer his question. For us it was channel 377. They say the viewership was down. Probably because they had it so well hid!
I would have had to stream it from their website.
I hope your Republicitis is over and done. Enjoy those wheel chair rides while you can. They will be putting you out of the chair before you know it.
Daily Kos: NO matter how many times these stats are shared, the poorest of the poor keep voting Republican, against their own best interests. After 8 years with a Democratic governor, and a good bit of progress, Kentucky has elected a Republican as governor. There are rumors of voter fraud with rigged voting machines, but no formal investigations have started yet.
The New Yorker: ONe second of Cruz is too long for me. I turn into a male and channel surf if I see him.
Alternet: That needed a quadruple barf bag alert. I just have to shake my head at the inane and bigoted comments made by Faux news casters.
Cartoon: Did Bush, Cheney and their ilk know they were following in his footsteps?>
I'm amazed you had the courage to c[lick through.
You must have had such a great sense of relief getting rid of two Republicans, I bet you've caught at least two nurses on your rounds in your wheelchair. I'll never understand why hospitals and the like never put a healthy dose of fibers in the food they provide instead of getting you addicted to laxatives; the pharmaceutical companies may have something to do with that, I suppose. Any idea when you'll be transferred, TomCat?
Daily Kos: The GOP debate moderators are never going to show these charts and the candidates would be fools to come up with it, so who is going to know apart from the people who already do? It's time the Democrats are putting a lot of money towards ads that are based on these truths and focus on Democrats vs Republicans instead of Bernie vs Hillary and never get these facts out to a larger audience. Democrats should realize by now that there is so MUCH MORE at stake than just the presidential nomination, it's about the future of the country when Republicans rule Congress, both in Washington and in more and more states. Stop preaching to the choir, start spreading the gospel to those the populist is the Mid-West Reich was talking about.
The New Yorker: Andy's writing really from the heart here; I feel so sorry for him that he has to expose himself so much longer than 4 seconds to Ted Cruz because his job demands it. He would love to switch of TV or computer after 4 seconds of a man he really despises if he could.
Alternet: Fox Business is just a front for Fox New and neither bring any of what their name suggests, just Republican propaganda. Just going through the captions and the text was bad enough, but it saved on barf time. Fox Business may have low rating but their existence and the load of GOP BS they put out should make your work even harder now, TomCat: another line to investigate.
Cartoon: Times have changed. Yeah, right, but only on the conviction side of things. Water boarding is more popular than ever and nowadays you may get a slap on the wrist for it, if anything at all.
It wasn't two republicans. It was two pantsloads of Republivans.
Thanks all. Hugs!
