I got the bed. I had to set off 4 smoke alarms and render 2 nurses unconscious to do so. My kitty dingles are finally starting to heal.
I had no time in the chair yesterday. I watched Benghazi BSorama. It was horrid. Hillary and the 5 Dems performed admirably. Republicans wasted $millions of your $$$.
The week after next I may disappear for a few days. It looks like I’ll be going back to surgery to finish repairing my stump, and I’ll need to reorganize.

Very much appreciate your update. It is fairly common to require a "clean up" of the stump after the initial amputation based on what friends who are amputees have told me . . . partly to do with the swelling in the tissues, among other reasons. Not fun, but fairly common.
Question: Were the 2 nurses rendered unconscious from trying to negotiate the bed around corners etc, or from you chasing them down the halls?
And the smoke alarms . . . is that because of the smoke created while watching the Republican BSorama?

Apparently, watching the BSorama was an uplifting, fun event for you. Who was that writer that found humor to dampen pain, in the hospital? Get tapes of Monty Python and/or the Marx Bros.

It was Norman Cousins, editor of the Saturday Review of Literature. And it wasn't just as a pain relief. It favorbly affected his systemic cancers.

Yep, Hillary did quite well, calm and collected all the while the GOP was frantic with envy. Yes, the GOP wasted 4.5 million on this farce of a "Select Committee".

You have many friends here anxiously awaiting your return. One day at a time, keep getting better.
You sound almost like your old feline self again, TomCat, but please keep your diet as Republican-free as possible the next few days so as not to interfere with the operation and the healing afterwards. You've had a really big helping of GOP yesterday, that should keep you going for some days, I'd say.
When you feel up to it, could you give us a short history of your time in hospital, of what you remember anyway? The fab 4 have done an excellent job by tracking you down, wheedling some information out of ever-changing staff and filtering it down without worrying us too much, but I think we're ready to know what you've been up against, and will be up against in the future, an amputation being one of them. As you know, we care terribly much about you and are compassionate about everything that is happening to you.
Good luck with your next surgery and with reorganizing.
