Here are the results of our “March 1 Leaders?” poll.  Politics Plus Polls are not scientific, because those who respond are not balanced according to demographic categories.   Therefore, we do not accurately reflect the makeup of the US population.  Nevertheless, our polls are usually factually accurate, and more often than not, they reflect thinking or will of the national majority.

For the Clown Car, I was one of the 6 that picked other.  Republicans seen to follow a pattern where most of the losers have a day in the sun, before the nomination finally goes to the clown with the most donor/PAC money.  In this case, it’s Strike Three.  But God only knows which clown will lead at any point in time,

For the Democrats, I want it to be Bernie, but I voted Hillary.  She has the money, and her machine is already locking up super-delegates, that should not be allowed to exist, but that’s another article.

The new poll is up.  The idea comes from Jim Phillips.  Thank you Jim.  He left it in a comment yesterday.  I stole it and fleshed it out for the poll.  Enjoy and vote!

  1. Seems about like early polls that had no value in predicting past elections IMO

  2. On the new poll, I would like to point out that one cannot fall out of something one has not been allowed into in the forst place.

  3. TC: You're welcome for the idea of a new poll although it was inadvertently done via my comment. lol. Thinking up the new polls every two weeks can be a bit trying at times.

  4. If Trump is still around by then, we are gonna have a big problem! He has an unending stash of his own money, let alone money that witless donors send to him!

Rick Perry is mentioned in this report as are all other candidates per PPP polling.

I don't know about you folks here in PP but to see that Ben Carson is high up in the polls makes me think "What are the people in Iowa smoking… Korn…" Are the people truly stating and giving their honest opinion of their choices for candidates or are they fudging their answers to skew the pollsters conducting the questions thus altering the polls… And you wonder why I don't put much stock nor faith in polls. lol.

    • Seems to me we were hearing Bachman and Santorum and maybe Perry riding high at this point in the last primary…enuf said?

  6. Sorry, looks like I didn't vote in the last poll.  If I had I would never have selected Trump, shows how much I know,

  7. I voted but did not comment.  If I recall, it was Bush and Hillary.  I swear my hand was shaking because I really want Bernie for you guys, and the rest of the world!  You can't afford a Republicanus/Teabaggerum in the WH, or the Congress for that matter but a world free of the Republicanus/Teabaggerum is highly unlikely.  But when all is said and done, the only poll that counts is at the voting booth!

    • @ Lynn: "…the only poll that counts is at the voting booth!"

The voting booth providing that the voting machines have not been tampered with to vote GOP as in
Ohio, Florida and in other places.

  8. The results of this last poll are more diverse than usual, indicating that this will not only be an exciting race for the Republicans, but for Democrats as well. That is, exciting if you believe the outcome of nominations on both sides is not already determined by the 1%. But until the candidates are nominated it will be exciting for us where Democrats are concerned and a combination of extremely hilarious and terribly annoying where the GOP is.

For the new poll it'll be a toss again between rational and wishful thinking 😉  I so wish I could pick "all of the above"

  9. I stand by my Bernie Sanders vote. Feel the Bern! Someone in my predominately Republican town put up a Bernie for President sign at the end of my road last week. Wonder of wonders!

I think Trump will still be in the lead in February.

  10. Thanks all.  Pooped Hugs!
