Here are the results of our “Republicns Blocking Peace” poll. Politics Plus Polls are not scientific, because those who respond are not balanced according to demographic categories. Therefore, we do not accurately reflect the makeup of the US population. Nevertheless, our polls are usually factually accurate, and more often than not, they reflect thinking or will of the national majority.

I voted no. Although I strongly suspect that Congress will pass a bill to block the deal, Obama will veto it. Republicans will not have enough votes to override the veto.
The new poll is up. Please vote.

A lot of people are suckers for Advertising and Marketing, no matter how untruthful. People love a side show. That's why Trump the Billionaire Clown is so high in the ratings. This will of course not last. He's just the fad for the moment, because he so entertaining. comedy wise.
People have been saying that for months. So far all the precictions of when he'd be gpne have been wrong.
Oops–says this is terrorist poll results–you really must be tired!
Thanks! Good catch! Fixed!
Except for the subject, the intro to the p[olls remains the same from poll to poll, so I just copy/paste the intro from the previous poll, and edit the subject. I was so pooped that I forgot to change the subject to the new one. My bad.
When the poll was posted, I was undecided but now agree it should be approved since Pelosi says it has the votes.
Since this is a treaty-type ratification vote, I believe it stops the deal unless it gets the votes–no veto involved whatsoever.
I voted no because I believe there will be enough votes to pass it, or at least enough to keep them from over riding a Presidential veto.
"I voted that it is a toss up. I would have liked to vote 'no' unequivocally but the Republicanus/Teabaggerum Reich can't be trusted. It is interesting talking to some Iranians who now live in Canada. They want this deal to succeed but some of their concern stems from the Iranian government, just as in North America, concern stems from the US government ie predominately the Republicanus/Teabaggerum. As Fred says, it's time to give peace a chance! "
The Iranian people want peace and stability. That is not to say there are no extremists, but in general, they want peace! The government might be a different matter. Many Iranian expats do not trust the government but are keeping their fingers crossed in support of the treaty. In the US there are terrorists called the Republicanus/Teabaggerum and they do not support the deal. Advice to Obama: Use the veto pen! My father's final words before he passed were "Kick 'em in the ass!" and I think that sage advice for Obama when dealing with the Republicanus/Teabaggerum.
I voted other – because items 3,4,5,6,7 are correct – they love fear, greed, hate, are sheeple and stupid!
On the new poll, it's click all that apply. So you could check 3 – 7.
Americans are tired of war. Those 47 GOP people who wrote a letter to Iran and signed it should be reminded by the Demos when their term comes up for re-election. Those GOP/TP/Koch Party who vote against the nuclear treaty should also have their constituents reminded on their positions. People are tired of wasting money and innocent lives on senseless wars. The US infrastructures are crumbling, the GOP wants to take away and destroy many human resource programs like Social Security, ACA, Snap and most recently, Planned Parenthood as well as many other programs.

I want the Peace Accord to pass as do many intelligent voters. We cannot afford to have those poorly educated 5th-graders, Faux Noise brian-washed people, politicans dictate policy. Many countries around the world worked hard to reach negotiations for this treaty.
I keep forgetting that Alex Jones is a right-wing conspiracy nut. Sorry about using his article as an example. I should have researhed more thoroughly and used another example. Hugzzz…
There's s bit of confusuin on the deal. The Iran deal is NOT a treaty. A formal treaty would require Advice and Consent from the Senate, and Republicans will not consent. So Obama negotiated the deal as a "nonbinding agreement" between nations, which does not require Advice and Consent, as it is an executive action. Republicans are trying to block it by passing a law that forbids its implementation, nut Obama can veto that law, and the Republicans don't have enough votes to override the veto. Does that clarify it?
Clarified and yes, Tom is correct.
I agree with Jim Phillips! He has it right to the bone!
