Almost every week, Republicans join a competition to see who can say the most outlandish things, and in the process, they push the envelope on just how disastrous InsaniTEA can become.  I trust that you will believe it, when I tell you that last week was no exception.

Phyllis Schlafly: Women enjoy the wage gap.

0531Phyllis_SchlaflyAnti-feminist crackpot Phyllis Schafly proved once again this week that she has never actually spoken to a single woman in her life. She has written another book, (hooray, what the world needs now is another Phyllis Schlafly book! She has written, oh,  like, 20 of them! Turning 90 has not slowed her down one bit!) The new one is called “Who Killed The American Family.” It’s a whodunit, of course, and as Right Wing Watch points out, "Spoiler: It’s not just the gays.”

Though there are many co-conspirators in the murder of the family, Schalfly zeroed in on an odd one durign the interview: “The free trade people who have done the work of the feminists by getting rid of [middle class] jobs.”

Kay, a little confused. Is this uber-Republican against a free market and free trade? And since when did feminists make it their mandate to get rid of middle class jobs? We must have missed that meeting.

Did someone say jobs? That reminds Schafly of the gender pay gap, which she said is actually something that women like. Unequal pay is a turn on.

“Women like to marry a man who makes more than she does,” she explained, patiently, again, “so then she can take time off and work fewer hours when she has something she’d rather do like have a kid and look after her children. So the pay gap, really, is something that women like.”

Schlafly has an interesting list of co-conspirators which she shared with VCY America’s very informative show “Crosstalk.”

No-fault/unilateral divorce, U.N. treaties from bureaucrats that don’t understand our way of life, expensive college loans and the family courts.  Also, there’s welfare reform, globalism vs. homemakers, psychological disorders, advice from newspapers, over-medicating children, and the influence of television and more.

She would have mentioned the Internet, but she does not know what that is.

There’s also the kitchen sink.

And the gays. Did we mention the gays?

I trust she also believes that women prefer to go shoeless and love the Republican requirement od pregnancy on demand.  This is just the fifth of five disastrous Republican moments from last week alone.  Click through for the other four.

  1. 1.  Cool.  Right.  The only way these instruments of government rape would be cool would be if they stored them in the freezer.  And that is not a cool that is fun.

    2.  You would think he would recognize a hissy fit more accurately, with all his ecperience with them, but I guess it's tough when the ones you see most often you see in the mirror, so they look backward.

    3.  "Blathering" is certainly the word for it.

    4.  OMG, Klingenschmitt.  The curse of Colorado.  BARF.

    5.  I don't know about this one.  It's probably a cheap shot to mock someone who has multiple forms of dementia.  I do, however, wish she would just go away.

  2. 1. Scott Walker becomes early front-runner for the Todd Akin “legitimate-rape” award.  LOL and that going get him in the White House NOT

2 GOP Maine governor Paul LePage has a teeny tiny little meltdown over not getting his way.  What a Tea Bag.  and here is another who will never see the White House

    3. Bill O’Reilly just comes out and says people who don’t agree with him are idiots.  LOL Well I would rather be an idiot than be on the same page as O'Reilly

    4. Colorado Republican has a novel idea for St. Patrick now that Ireland has approved same-sex marriage.  Just plain sick

    5. Phyllis Schlafly: Women enjoy the wage gap.  And what planet do come from?

  3. All five have one thing in common.  They are narcissistic idiots.  I thought Shafly was all ready in a home somewhere, looks like being ridiculous causes longer life.

  4. Just reading this litany of Republicanus/Teabaggerum stupidity brings to mind Forrest Gump:  Stupid is as stupid does!

  5. Sorry TC, I have a blinding headache and am trying to get ready for the storm that will hit us in around two hours ~ (for 24 or more hours, allegedly) – couldn't bear to read what those rotters had been up to this time!

  6. Scott Walker: Let's make an ultrasound up his a$$ and see if we can find his head. Perhaps if we get to see an ultrasound of his head, we might decide if he can keep it.
Paul LePage: Let's sue him for abusing his power. I'm sure we can borrow Boehner's script for suing Obama for using his executive powers. Vetoing just for the heck of it, just to get your own way, surely must have a better chance to be indicted than Obama's rightful vetoes.
Bill O'reilly is so losing it that he's barking up the wrong tree, any tree is wrong really, he just needs to stop barking. When is his show going to be canceled because Fox finally gets it that he's driving their last viewers away.
Gordon Klingenschmitt: The last line says about all: Voters in Colorado, you got some ‘splaining to do.
Phyllis Schlafly: For goodness sake, she's 90 years old, need I say more?

  7. 1. It's not whether or not you need a medical test or procedure, it's if Scott Walker deems the test or procedure "Cool" or not. Makes sense to him.

    2. Give LePage a pacifier. He needs it.

    3. Maybe in Bill's mind a lower IQ is better and smarter. He thinks it's like a golf score.

    4. Is the Pope a snake in papal garb?

    5. Phyllis is off her meds and her rocker.

  8. This appeared in today's Daily Kos, June 1, 2015.
