After another noisy night, I gave up on sleep at about 3:00 AM, and figured, as long as I was hating the night, I might as well do something to really hate it. As you will see, change my name to Ulysses, so you can call me Useless for short.
Jig Zone Puzzle:
Today’s took me 2:45 (average 5:20). To do it, click here. How did you do?

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
Thanks for the reminder that I should do my laundry today!
Condolences!!
3:52 average still 5:20.
Honestly, no sleep sucks big time. So sorry.
My Archie (also a tuxie) used to sit in our front-load dryer like that when he was a kitten and say things like "Beam me up, Scotty" (or, frantically when we pulled him out, "Mr. Chekov, you have the con!!!" I'm only exaggerating a little. Archie sisn't really speak English, but he was so expressive with the resources he did have that you could have put him in a room with 50 people, asked them all to write down what they thought he was saying, (no consultaion) and the answers would hardly differ. He also led a full and rich fantasy life."
I mentioned Ret. Justice Stevens yesterday regarding the Second Amendment, and I think I even mentioned today is his birthday (it's his 95th). I didn't, however, because I didn't then know, mention that there is a public e-burthday-card gathering signatures to wish him well. It's at http://act.endcitizensunited.org/Happy-Birthday
The United Houma Nation is a native American tribe native to the Gulf area who have, like everyone else, suffered from the Deepwater Horizon spill. But they are unable to claim damages because they have never been recognized by the US Government, though they have been trying since Christ was a corporal in the Roman Army. A petition for their recognition is at http://actionnetwork.org/petitions/grant-federal-recognition-to-the-united-houma-nation The petition has a small goal, and signatures are not adding very fast. I would surely like to see a huge outpouring of support for them.
My cat LOVES crawling in the warm dryer. It got so bad I had to close the laundry room door just so I could empty it out.
Now I put his very own load of towels in when I'm done, run it for a minute to warm them up, check to make sure it's not TOO hot, prop the dryer door open and then let him nap for rest of the day in there.
P.S. A cartoon almost as good as yours, TC

Nameless, that is totally sweet.
Oh, oh, oh, Joanna D.! I love Hillary’s LOGO! That is GREAT! And it is memorable, to say the least!!!!!
Cute, and I hope it comes true., Hillary's logo, I mean.
Were that Hillary's logo cartoon true, it would be so appropriate for what needs to happen to the Republicanus/Teabaggerum!
Bless you for that, Joanne – I roared with laughter!
Hillary's loge would be better of the arrow protruded from the tip of the Republican's trunk.
I love the cartoon!
Signed the petition for the Houma recognition. 1,000 signatures so far!
I signed the petition and shared it on Facebook.
Most definitely signed. 1,111 signatures with a goal of 1,600. Thanks JD. Why don't you post it as a news article on Care2 for a wider audience.
I've already signed Ret. Justice Stevens card.
1,135 signatures collected on the petition for the Houma Nation.
Signed petition Joanne – now at 1,179.
Signed.
My cats think the washer and dryer are aliens! They won’t get near them and that is great!
Ah, the dreaded laundry. That would ruin your whole day since you hate it so much.
I just want to add, be careful if your cat loves the dryer. My neighbor's cat did , too, and she accidentally got in the dryer with wet clothes, no one saw her, and she died. It can be very dangerous. Mine hate the laundry,(they must be related to TC) so I don't have a problem.
I have always been afraid of something like that happening so I have been careful not to encourage any curiosity near washing machines or driers with my cats. Oh your neighbours with their poor darling cat – the family must have felt unspeakably awful…
Pat, they were devastated. I felt so sorry for them and for the kitty..
2:57 Medinilla magnifica, or more commonly known as the Philippine Orchid, is beautiful but I am not sure if it would make a satisfying salad for Puddy Tat.
Cartoon — My chore for tomorrow. I know I will look about as bright and cheerful as you do. On the other hand, the weather is heating up (we had 26 C (79 F) today with a light breeze) so I assume you'll be taking up the ID of your alter ego, "the nekked blogger", before too long. That should reduce the amount of laundry a bit!
3:21 No contest from me.
only 61° today.
Signed card. Signed petition and is now up to 1170 signers.
Thanks, Joanne.
Poor TC – having another bad night is just hideous! I don't disllike laundry as I can remember having to do laundry by hand in the bath when a washing maching broke down and I couldn't afford a new one – so I am so grateful for washing machines!
Thnks all. pooped. hugs.
