First, I apologize to those read my statement yesterday that I intended to post a “holiday article” today. In my diminished state, I had the idea in my head that today would be Easter. I have no idea where I got that idea. The severity of my COPD has been sufficient it interfered with my sleep to the extent that I have not been completely lucid all the time. However, late yesterday I improved to the point, where I was able to sleep for more than a few minutes, and I am taking advantage of the opportunity.
Jig Zone Puzzle:
Yesterday’s took me 3:23 (average 4:59). To do it, click here. How did you do?

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
4:13 average still 4:59. If you get to go fishing, watch out for the undertow.
My progressive California cousin sent me the information on this
http://www.care2.com/news/member/101612212/3866604 which I had not seen, so I posted it. You don't have to be Catholic to sign (I am, she isn't).
I just thought you meant Palm Sunday.
Cartoon – Boy, doesn't that sum up Scalia all right!
Sure glad you don't have to be Catholic to sign the petition, but I would have signed it anyway. Human rights have nothing to do with religion, no matter what religion. Signed
Joanne, I am not Catholic, either, but my granddaughter and her mother are. I signed the petition and shared it on Facebook. This is a topic that needs to be more widely discussed, along with the mistreatment of many other indiginous people by all the Europeans who settled in North America.
I should always proof read, I spelled indigenous wrong. Oops!
I've found "ieSpell" to be a very helpful stand alone add-on – AND you can check right in the pane/box that you're writing. Just click [Alt+o] which opens the Tools Menu, and select "ieSpell". (I think there's one that's built-in on PCs that you can open w/ a right-click and then select "Check Spelling"- but I'm not familiar w/ it)
It does have some glitches – like no matter how many times I tell it to add "SoINeedAName" to the dictionary, it NEVER DOES. But generally you can add words. And it obviously only works in IE. (I do use Chrome qute a bit, but I'mnot a fan of Fox.)
AND it's FREE! You can get it at CNET, which I completely trust. It got an "Excellent" rating from the Editors, and 4 out of 5 Stars from users – and has been downloaded over 3 MILLION times.

There's also one for Mac users that looks pretty good:

Thanks for the tip, Nameless!
Thanks for the update TC. Joanne, Daily Kos had a nice summary of the genocide history left out of our history books yesterday. Thanks for the petition.
2:53 I think I need to rest on the bench.
4:34 You deserve to rest after that sprint on the beach, Jerry.
2:57 Save a spot for me Jerry? I'm right behind you! I want the shady section.
Hey Puddy Tat, no cats on the beach! Your idea of "buried treasure" is not the same as ours.
When too sick to bury anything, jist go on the biggest available foot.
You're really battling a big one this time. Rest, dear friend.
Cartoon ~ Bigot doesn't begin to describe him.
Just came across this article WRT an attorney and former Executive Director of the South Carolina Rethuglican Party who physically threatened to kill his wife and himself while refusing to let her get out of the car – and blames it all on cough syrup.
Well, of course, he denies physically threatening to kill his wife and himself, and of course he's going with "The cough syrup did it" defense. Who wouldn't, give the below medical facts? A bit of background:

So I decided I'd drag out the old PDR and look up Benzonatate – and sure enough, right there enclosed in the infamous "Black Box Warning":
To which I can only say: Thank God he's just a wife-beater, and not gay. I mean, hell, we're talking South )Carolina here! (Well, with all do consideration to Lindsley Graham)
Nameless, you are almost as good as Andy Borowitz!
Brilliant! Thanks Nameless!
And if I didn't check the prevous day, every day, I would have missed this, and that would have been a tragedy.
Dang! I'm glad codeine does not make one Republican!!
Puzzle — 2:57 Save a spot for me Jerry? I'm right behind you! I want the shady section.

Cartoon — Impartial, my ass! He is only impartial if . . . I can't think of any situation when one could say he is impartial!
TC, get all the sleep you can, it will help you heal.
Cartoon: He is only impartial when following his instructions from the Koch Brothers,
Poor TC, I (and so many others) too know what it is like when you can't sleep enough to heal – poooorrr TC!
(Taking D-Ribose together with a tiny bit of malic acid [from apples] powder three times a day added two hours to my nightly snooze – and very welcome it is too).

Thanks all. Hugs!
