I hate to do this, but I’ve been pushing myself hard lately, with everything that has been going on, and I am put of energy.  Yesterday’s trip to the store really took it out of me.  I slept poorly due to leg pain.  I planned to purchase a Galaxy 5, but Sprint is having a special that gives me an i-phone and a Samsung tablet  for $30 per month less than the G5.  When I figure it out, I guess I get an i-gasm.  Also, given that we have a forecast high of 65° today, feline physiology demands a basking break.  And I think my helper-friend is coming.  I have a bunch of housework to do and a busy schedule next week, so I may be a bit scarce for a few days.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 3:17 (average 5:13).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

  1. 5:07 average still 5:13.  Cats with those colors being 99.99% female, you might not get lunch, but you might get an interesting conversation.

For heaven's sake don't feet guilty about needing and getting a little rest.  If we are bored, many of us have useless interesting facts to throw out.  Nameless never disappoints; I sometimes try.  Today I got a loverly email with a quote from Wayne Pierre – something he said in 1999 – "We believe in absolutely gun-free, zero tolerance, totally safe schools. That means no guns in America's schools, period."  My, my, how things can change at the Masters' commnd.

Cartoon – And the Republicans are still acting as if it were still the law.

  2. Yeah, no guilt, TC – you do more than most people ever think of doing and that includes me…if you feel guilty, then I have to feel guilty because I'm doing even less, see?  So, take a day or two for the Art of Doing Nothing.

As Joanne said, the idjits will keep on saying and doing stupid things with us or without us.  We'll just adopt a CATitude and then come back refreshed and ready to go again.

  3. "So go out and bask in the sun as much as you like; we'll be here when you get back, making do with each other's company ;-)"

And in Great Company at that… lol.

    .

  4. To honor Joanne's promise of trivia from Wiki:

Dred Scott v. Sandford, 60 U.S. 393 (1857), was a landmark decision by the U.S. Supreme Court in which the Court held that African Americans, whether enslaved or free, could not be American citizens and therefore had no standing to sue in federal court,[2][3] and that the federal government had no power to regulate slavery in the federal territories acquired after the creation of the United States.

Sounds kind of like the foundation for suing corporations for damages in other countries or for criminal behavior, etc.  Think this is where some in this SCOTUS want us to return?

  5. Take care of you, TC! You gotta do that first and foremost! We need your insight and advice!
We will miss you while you recouperate, but you gotta do you, FIRST!
    Hope you feel better soon!
    Many hugs sent your way!

  6. You’re MORE than entitled to a day or three of R&R. (Does that phrase date me?  Do they even say “R&R” anymore, or is that a phrase from Vietnam War era?)   But how about posting a photo of your tootsies up, Resting and Relaxing w/ your new iPhone?  (And given your podiatry history PUH-LEEZ be sure your socks are on!)

Although I will say you’re missing out on some amazing stories.  Like Rep. Don Young (R-AK … like there was any doubt he was a Rethuglican) suggesting that wolves could solve the homeless problem.

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/in-the-loop/wp/2015/03/05/rep-don-young-wolves-would-solve-homelessness/?postshare=7011425588707590

Given that about 1 in 4 of the homeless is a Vet, Rethuglicans again show how they truly honor our military folks.

And this weekend marks the 50th Anniversary of “Bloody Sunday” March from Selma to Montgomery over the Edmund Pettus Bridge.  The fact that not one – NOT ONE – Rethuglican leader will be attending is appalling … not surprising, but appalling.

    • Young does not deserve the appellation "human being".  The Republicanus/Teabaggerum death benefit in action.

As to Selma, apparently Kevin McCarthy has announced he is going, but that's it.  Boehner has a date with his buddy, Jamesons; Scalise is having a touchup job on his scales; McTurtle can't move fast enough to get there (must be hard having to drag your house around with you everywhere you go!); and Cornyn, well he just can't be bothered.

    • Re:  Don Young… I thought they had all ready expressed every cruel thought imaginable, now he shows that I was wrong.

    • Well, now, that's a "Modest Proposal" with a vengeance, isn't it.

I also say R&R and, alternatively, I&I.  I expect you remember that one too.  TC has disclaimed that, however, so R&R would definitely be the thing.

  7. Get plenty of rest, bask in the sun, just don't stay gone a long time.  Here is a link to some music, you pick the year, then listen to what you like.  I am listening to 1968.

  8. 3:01  She looks so much like my Annie! . . . although my Annie's black is ticked rather than solid black.

Cartoon — Of course it is a favourite of the Republicanus/Teabaggerum.  Need proof?  Look at their attempts at voter suppression, regardless of what the 15th amendment says.  They probably want to repeal it which would pave the way for the return of the Dred Scott Decision.

Everybody needs R&R (yes Nameless, I know that phrase and use it!  We must be of the same generation.) and puddy tats are no exception.  The weather there has been a lot like here I think so basking in the sun is the right thing to do, with sun screen of course!  Next week it is likely to turn a bit more rainy so your basking days might come to a screeching halt for a bit!

Just to let you all know, my Primo actually ran down the stairs this afternoon so I think he is feeling a bit better. Seems he didn't make it to the litterbox last night and I am fairly sure the present on the floor was from him.  I didn't think I'd ever be so happy to have cat poop on the floor!  Tonight is his last pain med but he still has another 7 days of anti-biotics.  He has come to love wet cat food with mashed pumpkin mixed in.  I think he was disappointed he didn't get any tonight.  Things are definitely looking up which makes me happy.

    • Good to hear Primo is doing better.  I had never heard about pumpkin as an additive, so I Googled it.  Turns out that vets say it can help w/ constipation AND diarrhea.  I may give that a try sometime, but fortunately Nike has those sought-after "Tootsie Roll turds".

      • I like that . . . "Tootsie Roll turds" . . . very descriptive and very accurate.  Although some may choose not to eat a Tootsie Roll now.  Are they even around?

  9. Hope you had a nice bask in the sun!

  10. Thanks everyone.  I'm still way pooped, but have articles.

    Edie, I corrected your link.
