I imagine that I am not the only one that has been suffering from post election malaise, that soreness between the nether cheeks that comes when assaulted from the rear with a saguaro cactus, or when Democrats form a circular firing squad in an election year. For such a malady, Dr. TomCat prescribes a dose of Liz!
Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) went straight after Republicans, blasting the GOP on deregulation and trickle down economics during a Center for American Progress event on Wednesday.
"The Republicans have a pretty simple philosophy: they say if those at the top have more — more power for Wall Street players to do whatever they want and more money for tax cuts than somehow they can be counted on to build the economy for everyone else," Warren said. "Well, we tried it for 30 years and it didn’t work. In fact the consequences were nearly catastrophic."
Warren did allude to the 2014 elections where Republicans replaced Democrats not only in key Senate races but governors mansions and statehouses, but she stressed that didn’t mean Republican calls for deregulation should be taken seriously now.
Warren also reused her regularly repeated line that the American economy is "rigged" in favor of the wealthy.
"We tested the Republican ideas and they failed, they failed spectacularly. There’s no denying that fact," Warren said. "We know the importance of accountability on Wall Street —the benefits of having a better educated work force. The advantages that come from investments of high speed rail and medical research."… [emphasis added]

Elizabeth Warren is definitely a Rose among Thorns. The TepublicanTs ideas will ruin this country. Thank you for a dose of sanity in this asylum we call the United States of America, soon to be the Corporate States of America.
A dose of Liz is not going to stop the republiatea party from doing anything they want. The all out war has all ready become to pass. The 2014 elections have spoken and even tho most of the country belives in the polices of Obama and the Democrat Party. Even tho the American people do not want a more divided Washington or want a shutdown they keep voting for just that. As a matter of fact they do not see any bad fall out for there childish acts in the the last 6 yrs. So they think they can do anything and Obama will come down andf they will get even more power. (as they sit behind the closed doors and just chuckle). What have they done ever since the SC gave Bush the White House back in 2000? Nothing but bring this country down. I hope Warren will be able to get our party to fine a spine. If she can do that we will win in 2016.
We must stop them, starting with dog catcher and working up. A dose of Liz helps remind us what we strand for.
If ever there was a woman I'd fight tooth and nail for, it's Elizabeth Warren – she makes all the GOP look like the buffoons they are….
The GOP don't need Liz to look like buffoons! They get there on their own merit,

I finally got the articlesa uploaded to Care2 this morning.
Liz is great, but I got more depressed listening to all her questions that didn't lead to needed actions or changes.
Alas, I have to agree.
What I think is even more depressing is that she seems to be the only one asking the questions! Hers should not be the only voice in the wilderness, yet it seems to be.
Thew more people see them squirm under her examination, the better.
Her and Merkley and Bernie. About the only ones in DC we have on our side. And they will never be bought. I wish that more Progressives would get the brains to know they need to run as Dems in order to get elected, because most of the present Democrats are a bunch of wimps, with many being right in the back pockets of Wall Street alongside the Repubs. They need to go!
