Here is the fifty-eighth article in our Republicans on Parade series, featuring individuals who personify what the Republican Party has become. Today’s honoree is Minister Johnathan Gentry. He is so honored for selling out his own race to parrot Republican racism on the Republican Reichsministry of Propaganda, Faux Noise.
Hasselbeck and the two stooges find the one minister who disagrees with the entire NAACP and sides with the cops. Why? Because, Samuel 15:23 "Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft." Black people need to quit being "so uptight" about officer stops.
The crowd on the couch pulled it off once again. They found a Black Minister, Minister Johnathan Gentry, to blame the conduct and attitude of the Black community for the recent tragedy of Mike Brown being gunned down, unarmed by Officer Darren Wilson. Gentry is fed up with the way all these Black folks aren’t more obedient and naturally, this is what they get.
By saying things like, It’s sickening. Black people are so uptight. Let’s change our ways, Gentry manages to blame police brutality upon the conduct of people when they are disproportionately stopped for no reason by police. Gentry speaks fondly of the times he’s been pulled over, because, let’s face facts, he’s a Black man with a very custom, tricked-out car. He also quotes scripture to back up his opinion…

Jewish anti-Semites, black racists, female anti-feminists are unfortunately facts of life. (And I am not including Jewish anti-Zionists here. Zionism is NOT Judaism any more than Supply-side Jesus is Christian.) They get no respect from those who shamelessly use them. They often, but not always, get some money. Inside those heads like unexploded mines are contradictory concepts including denying they are a part of the group, and self hatred. My advice is to not even try to imagine it. Bless their little hearts.

I will agree with one thing this yahoo said . . . we have to change the way we act . . . but I do NOT agree with his context. When I use the word "we", I refer to ALL people. The 'white' police in this case need to change their racist attitudes and actions. All people need to stand up for true justice, not just roll over and play dead pretending not to see injustice.
African Americans have been subjected to injustices from before the country was formed. Slavery goes back to the 16th century in what is now the US. In the US, slaves quickly were considered property to be used at the discretion of the master. With centuries upon centuries of such treatment, it is easy to understand how an attitude of white domination could become so pervasive. And it is easy to understand why it would colour actions. There is no doubt in my mind that this Bible thumper, one who would use one verse of scripture in a complex situation, has bought and drunk the kool-aid. He is no minister of the Word if you ask me.

I only watched half the video. I can see the right wing heads nodding yes to everything this guy says, that is their premise, too. Hard to believe he could spout this drivel against his own race.
