Here is the twenty-seventh article in our Republicans on Parade series, featuring individuals who personify what the Republican Party has become. Today’s honoree is Reince Priebus, Republican mouthpiece and close associate of the infamous Fartfuhrer of Fitzwalkerstan. He is honored for trying to make it appear that the Navy Yard shooting was timed to help Obama shut down the government.
Republican National Chairman Reince Priebus believes that it’s not the GOP that wants to shut down the government, but President Obama. He told Hugh Hewitt on Monday that Obama really wants a government shutdown over Obamacare, a move that he said is even alienating some Democrats.
Hewitt said all the big news over Syria and now the Navy Yard shooting is masking the “domestic paralysis” going on in Congress, saying the media isn’t talking about the nation being “on the brink of a shutdown orchestrated by the president.”
Priebus responded, “I think he wants this thing to happen, a shutdown of the government…

What extreme projection. Priebus is doing nothing less than attempting to blame a potential government shutdown on Obama, as if the timing of the shooting, made possible because a mentally unstable person with a history of gun violence was able to own assault weapons.
Republicans can’t get away with claiming Priebus isn’t one of them Priebus heads the RNC.

Oh my word! Am I the only one who is starting to feel that these Repuglicons might feel their breakfast cereal is talking to them? (How does one pronounce his name – it looks like 'Rinse'! No wonder he hates the world!).
Pat, I throw a d on the end and pronounce it Rancid.
This apparently is now the Talking Point of the moment, because Marco Rubio utter the same gibberish yesterday:
Fortunately, I'm in possession of a magic "Republican Gibberish Decoder Ring" – so he's what they're actually saying:
(And kids, it only cost me two boxtops and 25 cents to get my decoder ring.)
What an embarrassment to the citizens of Florida.
"President Obama and his allies in Congress should abandon their threats of shutting down the government and instead work with Republicans…."
That's a joke, right? Obama tried working with Republicanus/Teabaggers for the first 2-3 years of his first term. But what did he get for his trouble?. . . obstruction. To a Republicanus/Teabgger, "work[ing] with Republicans" means doing everything their way. It has nothing to do with being bipatisan or collegial!
My greatest hope is that he will quit trying to work with them. They have a sole purpose and that is to destroy any legacy he might have.
Yoou decodert ring is similat to my researfch technique. I turn on Faux Noise. Whatever they day I look for docunmentation for the exact opposite. It virtually always turns out t be true.
I think nameless has it exactly right,
Very well said, Richard! Hear! Hear!
Today's Republicans on Parade seems to be a "two fer".
Priebus shows how absolutely useless he is by agreeing with Hewitt, not proposing any ideas.
However, he should have stopped with the word "shutdown" because it is not Mr Obama who is going after a shutdown. Nice piece of projection. The Republicanus/Teabaggers are petulant children threatening to hold their breath until they get their way. Well may these children keel over from a lack of oxygen.
Priebus is an ideologue, and not a very intelligent one at that. He likes to follow the crowd and appear a big man.
He got his political education with his noses buried between the FartFuhrer's cheeks.
Priebus and Cruz, what prime examples of Republican idiocy!
Amen, Edie!
I've been waiting for him to make the list. Finally!
Sometimes it takes a whilew, because there are just so many choices!!
