Yesterday my COPD flared up severely and I was coughing to hard to fall asleep until right before I normally get up to do research. I’ve only has a couple hours, so I need to return to bed. I’m not current with replies, but will catch up tomorrow.
I've got a pair of size 9s ready to go into action if you don't take care of yourself! Or I can always send Dr Winnie down to look after you, but you'd have to share the cat box!
Welllllllllll damn TC, slap me upside of the head, I didn't know you smoked, got to stop my man, please stop—don't put those stickers on arm–they don't work—get something from the doc to help and stop, you are treading on bad ground there. I have a bro that had asthma very bad—was a smoker——he quit cold turkey many years ago and now he still has asthma but he can control it. Might work for you—I know —naggggggggggggggging, but only cause we love you.
I quit last May when I had my first surgery to save my leg. The PSA you see on TV about smoking are all true. Smoking does more than damage your lungs. The damage it does to your arteries and veins is incredible. I have gone through 4 hopitalizations, 8 procedures and 3 surgeries since May and I still have my life and all my limbs. I have not had a cigarette nor wanted one since then. Cold turkey.

I hate to be a nag (well, not too much) BUT four cigarettes per day is five too many for someone with COPD!
I agree!

I encourge you to set up for a quit date, just shy of three years for me and you can do it TomCat….
Did I miss something in the Post, because I'm not seeing anything now where TC says he smokes.
But here are my thoughts if you do
(And PLEASE IGNORE if you do NOT):
It was an earlier post, maybe 2 or 3 weeks ago, a reply to a comment that I made. Might have been even more than a month ago.
Thanks. I go up to Illinois to help out with my 96 y/o Mom, so tht explains why there are periods when I don't post.
In fact I'm heading up there tomorrow for the week. She's got two doctors' appointments, and one with her accountant.
(The medical stuff is the usual main reason – but there's always a lot of shopping, cooking and baking to restock her freezer and cupboards.)
I have not be able to connect to the puzzle site for the last couple of days. I assume I am not the only one with this problem.
