I grew up on a dairy farm. We never changed the clocks there but always had to remember that the time changed for everyone else. My Grandmother always said "The cows can't tell time."
Rather interesting to note that according to a news item, Arizona is one of 3 US states/territories that stays on standard time all year. Is it any wonder that they are so behind the times when it comes to the treatment of people!
Yes, I have a decent memory! I'm up in time to get to church on time!
DST should be kept year round! Beg Pardon steve, but I think it's rather sad that it's ever changed! My entire mood changes when the sun remains shining later in the day!
Did I remember? – I never heard about it this year, so it's the first year, I can't say I forgot, but I also can't say I remembered — I was however surprised to learn that it happened today (or last night) – usually with my 24/7 news feed – I'm among the first to know — today – when I woke up at my "usual" 5 AM == it was 6 – and I was pretty surprised!
I tried to comment on C2, couldn't. I agree with James Maynard, DST is a total waste of time and a public health hazard. Who decides when it happens anyway? My clock says 12:35, my body says 11:35. It always takes me a week to get adjusted. I hate it.
I lived in north eastern BC where they are like Alberta and don't change the clocks — standard time all year long. Now if that doesn't get confusing when you deal with folks in Alberta and in Vancouver!
DST has been shown to be a colossal failure as far as saving energy. Not only that, if you're a dairy farmer, it really gets confusing because you might change your clocks, but the cows do not change theirs. Smart cows!
I could learn to love "springing ahead" if it happened on a Monday instead of the weekend!
An hour before quitting time?
Perfect.
Drove a cab for a year while in college, 12 hour shifts, 6 to 6, liked it in the spring, not so much in the fall. :^)
Here. it's purrrfect! 😉

I've heard that from other farmers too.

Once in the fall, I forgot and showed up to church an hour early. Nobody there.
Anything with "spring" in it—I am for—just saw first robin yesterday—and all my snow is gone——I am a happy camper–
My snow on the ground this winter lasted less than an hour.
Yeah, I remembered.
And I want to go on record that I HATE DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME!
Not changing wouldn't bother me at all.
DST should be gotten rid of.
See above Steve. 🙂

I could live with that too, Lee.
Memory is not so good and it's annoying to reset the clocks…
LOL Richard!

I enjoy falling back. 🙂

When I lived in Arizona, the TV schedule changed twice a year.
I live in Yuma Az the time change is a breeze but that TV time change can be madding LOL
Just like Phoenix was for me.
